Dear sir. Question: 1. Can I say in simple language that Armature Reaction is just an interaction of Field Flux (Rotating rotor, thus changing) and Armature Flux (produced by this rotating/changing field flux)? 2. The Synchronous Impedance of machine (Zs) is to account for: Leakage flux of armature + Armature winding resistance + Extra flux remaining after opposing the rotating field flux (through an air gap of very high reluctance)?

Sir, why should we take field current equal to rated short circuit current??? As U said we 1st take Isc= Irated & then extend the field current to touch occ & then we get Eo But we should take the field current first na then extend it to touch ssc & occ
