But it’s an emptiness inside that makes me become cold-hearted like Trell who doesn’t think about his dad as a way to cope. Trell is a leader, hope he realizes that he has great control over his emotions and pain, but most people aren’t as strong as him. 7:20 - 9:10 I felt that TRell me and my lil bro grew up the same way as y’all. Our mom never spoke bad about our dad but we learned fast he didn’t give a damn about us. He didn’t show up to a extracurricular activity, wish us a happy birthday, holiday or send a buffalo nickel for me, my brother and one of our sisters. For a lil bit me and my brother had to move out of state and during that time he didn’t claim us and tried to act like we didn’t exist and he only had 2 kids instead of 4. Our youngest sister is the only one with a good relationship with him because she spent most of her childhood growing up with him because her mother relationship with our father lasted a while. But us other 3 just stay cool from a distance he makes up lies to this day and don’t wanna take accountability for his past actions. Plus after he quit multiple jobs to prevent his checks from being garnished he gave up his parental rights for all 3 of us when we was young kids. Even though he somehow got the documents filed to give up his rights the judge kept him on child support cause both of our moms was under the poverty line. Rather than be involved in our lives and support us he tried every scheme he could to not be our dad and I’ll always think that’s crazy. I’m 27, brother 26 and my sisters are 24 and 20. Idk how old dude is but I’m pretty sure he graduated hs the year I was born.

I share this same pain Smacc but I’ll never get closure because I’ve never seen who my biological father is or even know where to look. Shit made me cry but the best thing I did was to let it go and try to move on. I’m still going to need to talk to someone about it because it’s trauma but I’m letting it go.
