QotD - right now? XL Oranguru. I get a lot of ghosts and psychic types switching in and getting wrecked with Foul Plays. And Trailblaze can not only boost your attack, it can flip matches with water and rock types types that pop up. It does like 70% to the mud boys. Boosted Confusions handle the rest.

Talonflame was more common right when the move update happened at the beginning of the season. I see it now still but not a frequently. People stopped running it because everyone was running teams against it lol

Honestly nowadays I usually run Lanturn Charizard Talonflame and usually safe swap into talonflame in neutral matchups. Often bait out the Azumarill/lanturn type of Pokémon and then they get their grass type closer aligned to Charizard 😂

I had a battle earlier today, basically came down to my Poliwrath against an opposing Gligar with a shield in the end game which is a clear loss for me, I had a sliver of HP, threw an Icy Wind for no real reason whatsoever because the game was definitely over, and the opponent chose not to shield?? I wasn’t even close to the back to back and their Wing Attack would’ve knocked me out. Very confusing.

QOTD: two that I've run and caught ppl off guard with were my shadow nidoking and shadow camerupt. They both have access to some powerful charge moves that some ppl arent prepared for it

my favorite off meta pick where nobody knows what moves it has is definitely bouffalant since they spawn where i live you almost never see them and its a mud shot user with a bait move of stomp with megahorn earthquake and skullbash which is the fastest to skullbash in the game with stab and it raises its defense and makes it a tank in the ultra league (premier) where its best. def a fun pokemon that always gets a shield

This is the first time I've tried it with dragon tail actually, in previous seasons soon after the wing attack buff I enjoyed running it with mud shot & stone edge as a safe swap to nuke flying types, but right now I think dragon tail is definitely the way!
