I’m really looking forward to seeing this come together so I can learn a bit more about switching layouts!

It should be an interesting and fun build. I’m looking forward to seeing how things evolve and change as we get to the final result. Thanks for coming along for the ride. 😃

@@CWFTrains I assume you are using the LionChief app? Any need for a decoupling track?
@CWFTrains Жыл бұрын
@@whitmorestrains no need for a decoupling track. I’m using the app as well as my universal remote. Once the Cab 3 app drops though they’ll really be no need for the remote since I can control 3 trains at once.

If you’re really strapped for space, a Dockside switcher can really bring a lot without the real estate!
@CWFTrains Жыл бұрын
Indeed!! Can even toss in 2 ore/ballast cars and have even more room to work with. 😃

My only suggestions is to add another switch to your town track. Replace one of the 036 curves and create another siding. You’ll need somewhere to put the old car while you swap it with the new. keep that diamond piece. Have it stubbed on both ends of the table. Obviously no room for a figure 8 style layout but a 10 inch piece on each side helps create a small story. There is now another railroad you have to cross to get to your industries. Heck Add a tower! Plenty of opportunities in small spaces to tell stories.

Absolutely. I have actually since change the layout design a bit to something that will be just as interesting and have a run around. I'll have another update with the new design and bench work hopefully sooner rather than later.
@SeanLamb-I-Am Жыл бұрын
Looks cool, but I wonder if there could be room made to add a runaround siding...
@CWFTrains Жыл бұрын
That’s certainly a possibility as the project develops. 😃

@@CWFTrains I will do a few videos if I roll with that idea. Can't wait to see your upcoming videos! I have a very wacky idea that will make everything interesting lol😆, but again its only an idea. I've had at least 50 and have only done 2 or 3 of them 😂

A run around track would be nice

A run around is a possibility. We’ll see as the layout develops. 😁
