As a BMXer of the late 90s early 2000s SBB will always hold a special place for me. Was randomly thinking about the lyrics to Kingfisher this morning. Went down a wormhole.

It was 1998 & I went to Maxwells in Hoboken, NJ to see Hot Water Music & Saves The Day. But wait, here comes a band I’ve never heard of. They freakin’ blew me (and everyone else) away that night. I’ll never forget it.

So fortunate to witness these dudes live a number of times -- a couple basements, random clubs around Michigan, a bowling alley, and later, at the Knitting Factory in NYC -- and they never disappointed. This album/band holds a real special place.

As a former Michigan Tri-Cities native, I loooooved this band. Saw them several times.

Watching them at Michigan fest 99 with a hundred kids shouting along to this very song was probably the most memorable time I saw them

Second best band to come out of the late 90s "emo" rock bands. It really meant something different back then. Hot Water Music and these dudes got me through my blues.

Whooha, this album still has it all. Amazing songwriting, phantastic drumming, crispy guitars & bass. Bought it when it was released without knowing anything about it (being on No Idea was enough for me at that time), from the first seconds of listening I knew I was in love with it.

Can't believe Travis from this band recorded both of our first albums. Huge props man, appreciate it, even after all these years. (FYI, go check out Hanover - Threshold and the newer, Hanover - Trials.)

As someone who just survived a suicide attempt, Zerosum finally makes sense to me in such a way that I can relate to, so deeply. What a beautiful song. "I saw your eyes, and not the rain" is such a powerful line

Must have seen these guys at least 7 or 8 times, every time they would pass through Boston at the old Axis club, ICC, etc etc. Never really got into them then, but I'm regretting it now. This album fucking rips.
