This is so on the level. I’m from another country and it’s exactly the same. You struggle at the start barely making enough money, you make more money but forget the taxes and approaching business costs. I may be out of the dip being able to price jobs at a premium for reliable paying customers who appreciate the quality of my work. 6-7 years of grafting and now I am headed towards debt free life (hopefully at the end of this years). ‘It’s not about how hard you can hit but how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward ‘

2016 Was my first full year in my exterior cleaning and remodeling business and I did $114k gross. This was partially due to some stuff I learned from your videos, including some stuff that I used to pick up some window cleaning work. Im going to be going to a pure water system this year. Thank you for your videos. I remember a video a while ago when you said a way to learn was to work for another company that already does it, for free. I decided since my company is so new and I don't have enough work for every day during winter. I subcontracted for one of the biggest highest quality companies near me. That allowed me to keep money flowing in and I learned retaining walls French drains and patios etc. so for whatever it's worth you have helped me a good deal in my first year so far. I will have been doing this for a year in august.

Real quick on the topic of water in the basement after installing retaining wall. Did a retaining wall around front of newer home. We raised the topsoil against the house about a foot. We put tar above the waterproof line and foam fabric also. Customer called a month later they water in basement. So we decided to dig out around the whole front of the house about 4 feet down. The water spots on the basement wall were at about two feet down. Above and beyond, you know. We put tar over the waterproofing that was already there. Did everything we could. Month later the builder discovered that the water was coming in behind the brick masonry on an upstairs window and running behind all the brick to the basement. So don't just look at the retaining wall and ground level. Good Luck!
