Introducing Paul Maciel and Emilio Coccia of Johannesburg’s The Cookery, a social cooking school based in Craighall.
If you love spending time with people and getting creative in the kitchen, this SMME is for you. This small business is “taking whisks” by focusing on food, love and fun; as Paul says, “the primary objective is to have a meaningful human transaction.”
What sort of bookings does The Cookery get? Emilio explains that it’s anything “from a corporate team building to a wild bachelorette or hen’s party on a Saturday night to engagement parties and birthdays... all of it is centred around bringing people together, around the concept of cooking and sharing a meal.”
In this video, Paul and Emilio explain the origin of The Cookery 7 years ago, the types of events it holds and the lessons they’ve learnt... they also hint at exciting plans for the future.
The Cookery hosts private and public events, for example, couples can book spots for its Valentine’s event.
Experience a meaningful human transaction and learn 15 recipes: book your experience at The Cookery or email them at info@thecookery.co.za
