He shouldn't be taking people's money before providing his service. That is how you get overwhelmed in the first place.

He said “I’m big time now.” No sir, you are not. Nobody has ever heard of you.

Lots of people have heard of him. He has a legitimate social media following and has been making a lot of money off of it.

Sounds like the Denver Foodie should change his name to DENVER FRAUDEE. Feel free to use that it's not trademarked yet. Please give me credit if you do use it, thanks.

Denver’s always been that! Like when my grandfathers business was being robbed overnight more than once…..by Denver police dept officers…..store was in Englewood, Englewood police cracked it!….Denver is a disaster! I left after 53 years living in Colorado! Colorado and Denver …..going further down moving forward if they don’t change their leadership!!!

It would be one thing if it was corporate businesses but many of these are small businesses. He's going to have to find a new town to scam if this is what he plans to do with his future.

Seems kind of sketchy for a business to be paying someone to review their food. Gee I wonder if the review he gives is going to be positive when someone's paying him to do it. Or I wonder if he's going to get an average quality dish when he shows up for his review. And then customers who believe it's a fair review are going to go in and expect what he says to be true.

When you really think about it, this guy uses his social media platform as a tool. He doesn’t write code or own a media company, yet people still throw their hard-earned money at him. He’s allowed to scam local people and others who can’t resist the allure of social media. Many will gamble on anything that promises quick riches, and most platforms enable this behavior. Why didn’t these small businesses just pay for social media marketing to promote their brands? It’s clear he knows how to receive money, but he doesn’t understand how to grow his advertising and marketing business. He messed up a whole opportunity simply because he didn’t want to put in the work. When he was on the phone explaining the situation, all he could talk about was himself: “People love me.” Yeah, right. What he fails to realize is that people love what he can do for them. As a social media influencer, you work for the people; they don’t care about you, only what you can provide in that moment. You’re just a middleman who can be replaced or, worse, banned from interactions. My advice to small businesses: sometimes you have to be your own mascot. You could replicate his process on your own-after all, that’s what the platform is for, right? Yes, it’s a lot of work, but you’ll own the process and understand the business from both sides. It’s better than taking a loss. We often want things to be fast, quick, and easy, but that convenience comes with a price.
