I had a 2016 17' Spirit Deluxe. I loved the idea of it, but ended up selling it to my brother who uses it as a "man cave" on the side of his house. It was easy to tow with a 4Runner and a Tahoe. I had the sway bar but didn't need a weight distribution hitch. The trailer truly lacked usable storage and I felt it was difficult to stay organized. I ended up having a receiver added to the back to use a cargo carrier. The previous owner did great with the shelves in the closet and under the sink. Great job, Johnny on cutting down the size of the bed. I think if I had done that, it wouldn't have felt as cramped.

I like the vid & your Casita Very Nice!!! Your water hose 'regulator ' is just a filter its not regulating anything. You need to get one with a guage on it and a pressure knob so you can set the regular for your RV and what you need it to be 'set at'! Sometimes the guage is the knob. The one you have they sell for cheap, telling people, thats all you need! Not true! You need to see what pressure the parks water comes into your RV at, until it equalizes. The water pressure coming in could change with techtonic plate shift, earthquakes, floods, street or pipe work or crews working on water mains. This way you set the regulator for psi (pressure per sq in) from recommendations in your owners manual. Just saying. Many people buy the one you have or inherit them. Its like air pressure for your tires w/o the tire guage your going in blind. Theyre fairly cheap in price and well worth it.

Casita does not recommend leveling the trailer with scissor jacks. The frames are not designed to support that much weight. Only use jacks to support the weigh by the wheels, where the frame is doubled up. The welded on jacks are for stabilization only.
@trooper21212 жыл бұрын
Just noticed his pressure reducer is actually on wrong. He should use it where you turn on the water. That way he might also save his water hose also.
@NewJerseyOutdoorAdventures2 жыл бұрын
The hose is rated for a very high pressure but I see how that can also be helpful

What is the R value of the Casita walls ceiling and floor? Yeah nursing will kill you. Nobody realizes how many hours we work straight through. It's crazy.

Nice tour! I am curious to as how high the interior is? I almost bought a Casita a while back but I couldnt stand up straight inside. I am 6'0". I actually own a 1984 Uhaul CT13. I have just enough room inside to stand and change, but both the Scamp and Casita were too short. Great Video!

I heard you mention that the AC cannot be used while boondocking. Is this correct even if you have solar power? Seeking a trailer that can boondock but still use heat, ac, fridge, all electrical outlets. I like the Casida and Oliver. But the Oliver is way out of our price.

Nice trailer, except the carpet wall and ceiling does not make much sense to me as it picks-up smell and dust. The escaper trailer has done a better job in that regard. Otherwise great lay-out.

The differences between Scamp and Casita our day and night I owned a Scamp fifth wheel 19-foot the entire thing was built out of 2 x 4 rectangle tubing that had rotted out and then the flooring had completely deteriorated leaving the fiberglass shell said you could cracking when going down the road complete disaster I lost $3,000 on the thing
