FYI. You can get the Turbo on 1LT. The Automatic Sonic 1.8L goes from 0-60 in 8.8 seconds, and the 1.4T is 7.9 seconds. Also, I hope nobody is actually stupid enough to buy the Yaris over the Fit or the Sonic. Sonic has a better interior, better looks, better acceleration... JUST BETTER. The Fit, we already know that the Fit is a well-built car. But since I've test drove most of the sub-compacts, I chose the 2LT Sonic, with the 1.8L specifically because it comes with more options, and the sound system STANDARD is amazing.

A Yaris will out last that stupid Chevy for years & years to come....The Yaris is basic & their owners love it for that,not for Bluetooth & all other BS gadgets that break quickly.I recently heard a friend of mine complain about his Chevy sonic....The Honda is way too loud & looks like a baby shoe....Everyone & their ancestors knows that the sonic won't last as long as the fit or yaris.

well. there is a video of 2007 honda fit that has 400.000 miles. I bet there is none with sonic :) It will die few times before reaching such a mileage. Do your research about reliability, that what matters in the end.

The fit is not a sound proof car but it is not extremely noisy. My 12 fit runs great with regular operational noise. I test drove the sonic before I decided on the fit, did not appreciate the so called bike inspired gauge cluster, feels too tight behind the wheel and I'm 5'10'' 180lbs and the cargo capability of the fit cannot be beaten by other cars in it's class. I'm sure the sonic is a great car but honda's track record on reliability made the fit a choice for me.

Can't deny that Honda makes the most reliable engines. Also, all I ever hear is people whine about the noisy fit engine - I love the sound of my Fit engine - its like a baby panther growl!

After about a week of non stop driving .My week old sonic is one of the best cars ( for the money).I have ever driven.My 3500HD is killing me on on fuel for day to day driving.So I stopped at my Chevy dealer,And after my test drive,And reading some reviews,I took one home.Great ride,Great gas mileage.,Iam getting better then 35MPG

if ur getting a turbo, you're better off getting a GTI. Honda fit is the best, it's not as noisy as described. I've owned one for over a year and probably until it's wrecked.

The hybrid version of the Fit is called the Insight.

acoustical adjustments were done to the 2012 fit so decibels were decreased from previous models. I love my new fit sport, great on gas too. In So. Cal I pay around $37 for around 340 miles to the tank.

also to add to what your saying the Fit is also 22k loaded the sonic is just under 19k

I have a fit, my only complaint is lack of power, everything else though is great, comfortable the 6 speakers sound GREAT, honestly better than my pioneer receiver at home, the 5-speed is light to shift, the car really shines when you toss it into a corner, the chassis is stiff, steering feels good, and theres TONS of grip. To me its a hot hatch without the hot power, but everything else is there

Depends which model you have. Mine is a 2016 and it's pretty fast. Not good acceleration, but it gets the late game.

Have a CHEVY SONIC TURBO SEDAN . Fit is just there. Sonic is fun and 40 MPG and not ugly like the HONDA FIT. SIDE BY SIDE THE FIT IS UGLY AND WEAK.

I have also. Fit to finish HONDA 1 FUN TO DRIVE AND LOOKS SONIC . Yaris would be a good buy but would buy the HONDA first. Sonic with the Turbo and auto is fun to drive handles well. Wth, the, money you save The chevy would have a good extended warranty .' I did drive the non turbo 1.8 It was fine ran well but the Turbo had more pep and better MPG. ;;;

I'm not sure what their secret is, but maybe it has something to do with making more engines than any other manufacturer? They take their engines very seriously; seems like they've mastered friction reduction. You can rev the hell out of a Honda engine (albeit no torque) and it begs for more. If I owned a Chevy I would be hesitant to rev it past 4k if I wanted it to last. Just my experience man. I've owned chevy's and they just don't hold up, and I'm not just talking about the engine.

The ONLY reason you like the chevy is because its not an import. Yes it looks good, but i have an 09 fit with over 120,000 miles. Nothing has gone wrong with it. How reliable is the chevy? Do you think it will run flawlessly after 120k miles? I think not

I think that small cars come a long way. I have a 2013 sonic turbo with a 6 speed auto. I am 6,4 and feel fine . I would think the Fit was made better and would buy one. But the Sonic was just cool and fun to drive. The price was right. BUT I traded my 08 Chevy Malibu in for the Sonic. The Malibu was a lemon. BUT then I had a CHEVY Cobalt 140,000 MY son drove and it was a great car. GM is a hit amd miss. Honda seems to be on the ball.

I Think the Sonic Turbo loaded 18,000 was a great deal. Fun to drive .BUT ILL let you know 5 years from now if its better then the HONDA. I have a civic 08 and a Saturn vue with the honda 3.5 motor. I think the fit is a great car but the price and looks are a turn off.

It's called marketing and you're a victim of it. Honda is slowly but sure falling dead last in every segment. Also notice the ford fiesta wasn't in this comparison....there's a reason for that. And when the ST comes out it's gonna force GM to beef the sonic up even more but honda being honda will just throw some crap vtec on their 1.5 and call it a fit si with 140hp when the st is going to pushin 180hp and the sonic as we all know will quickly follow suit.

the yaris is not in the same category as the fit and sonic. it is a lot smaller. better comparable with a mazda 2. I can't thing of any other one. fit, rio, accent, fiesta are all over 160 inches while the yaris and mazda2 are mid 150s

Sonic has a 6 speed auto. TURBO 40 MPG . 0-60 8 SECONDS TOP SPEED 126 MPH. NOW IF IT HOLDS UP IT WILL OVER TAKE THE HONDA. FIT just blaaaa boring . 117 hp 0-60 10 seconds . top speed . ?

While second to the Passat (huh?) for 2012 is respectable, It wasn't even a contender for 2013. Does it have to be a new car to make Motor Trend Car of the year? Also,that's a different list than what I stated. It didn't make the top 10 for Car & Driver, and that's not an opinion either.

I can seriously bet that 90% of all honda owners also own an Ipod, skinny jeans, and glasses without frames. This is called MARKETING!!! The Honda has no purchase in the likes of the cruze or the fiesta (which for some reason was outed for a bland yaris) or even the mazda 2. but no....we got a yaris.....the point a to point b manufacturer of the world. (now anyways)
