Thanks, Marla! Creative spaces are really personal, and what works for me won't necessarily work for anyone else. Still I think we can all pick up helpful tips from one another. I've seen photos of your lovely studio online. You have a great space in which to work! Hugs and Blessings! k

I’m amazed how much we are alike in our storage ideas. My daughter thinks I’m crazy for saving jars, containers, and old silverware trays, but they make wonderful storage solutions. I’m still trying to come up with a good paper storage system. I have Irish bends but can’t seem to find anything when I need it. Thank you for sharing.❤

Oh, yes, Lila! I upcycle so many small jars and trays and such. They make wonderful storage. Have you tried sorting your papers by collection/brand/theme? For instance, I have all my spring Carta Bella in one Iris Bin in a cart that is devoted to Carta Bella/Echo park. I have my Stamperia papers in the bins under my work desk sorted in alphabetical order. I keep the chips, papers, stencils, stamps, etc all together in a plastic portfolio. This way I can find them easily. Of course, some people mix and sort by color or season. The hard part is figuring out what system works for you...how your brain/creative process works. I took a whole week when I moved into this studio just getting my papers sorted and organized. It was worth it, though. Hugs!

I wanted an old apothecary cabinet to store embellishments in but they were a bit to pricey, so I made my own. I bought 3 of those white sectioned cube organizers from facebook market place for $25.00 each. One was a shoe organizer that held 25 pairs of shoes, so I had my hubby cut 1/4 inch thick wood board down to the size I would need to make 25 drawers. Covered them in my favorite Eucalyptus paper from Hobby Lobby, put crystal knobs on them and it turned out beautiful. The other 2 cube organizers I use to store my huge collection of stamp sets from Stampin Up.

I loved every minute of this! I've noticed that the more I accumulate the more careful I have to be about organizing it. And I hardly have anything! As a former librarian (LOL) I admire your organizational skills 🥰 One of the things I noticed is that so many of your goodies are stored in clear containers. That makes it easier to find things too. Many many thanks, Kathy ♥

You are so welcome, Annie! When I was growing up I wanted to be a librarian! Y'all were my heroes and books were a big part of my life. So neat to have you following my channel! I spent hours in my local small town library, and practically raised our kits in their library when they were growing up. This was pre-internet and they all learned how to use the card catalog, the Dewey Decimal system and all the rest. Our local librarian loved us, because we kept her circulation numbers up! LOL Yes...clear containers are fabulous storage options. Things are "put away" but visible. Thanks for the sweet words! Hugs!

@@kathyclementkathybydesign I wanted to be a librarian since I was a little girl -- and I did it! My 6 siblings and I were at our local library every week, and in the summers a Bookmobile came to our neighborhood. As an adult, I worked in the Main library (Spokane,WA). I filed all the cards in the card catalog and loved it. I even have a 6 drawer card catalog! Thank you for sharing that piece of yourself -- I'm still smiling. And even though you didn't become a librarian, you share something that's just as important as reading -- your creativity. And you are so generous with your gifts! Thank you to one of my favorite artists ♥♥♥

Annie! I remember the Bookmobile so well! Our tiny country schoolhouse (two rooms...no joke) did not have a library. So once a month the Bookmobile arrived and we were each allowed to select two precious books. We got to take our books home and read them, then we brought them back to school where they sat on a shelf together as our "library." Those were good days, and I read so many wonderful books! Thanks for sharing that part of your life with me. Who knew we had such a neat connection! And thank you for your very kind words! You made my day!
