Unpopular Theory: The recruiter didn't just "joke around" with the gun at Gi-Hun, the gun was actually still loaded with the bullets from the rock paper scissors game, the 5 in 6 chance to die but only 4 in 6 now cuz 1 is used to kill the boss. Fun fact: In ddakji if a person won using the blue squared paper they will play as a player. If a person won using the red squared paper they will play as a pink guards in the game. Another fun fact: The shapes on every mask of the guards refers to their hierarchy. More edges means higher rank that's why if you see the front man's mask it has a lot of edges

Actually, I noticed it and told my friend about it, the roles got reversed, instead of the salesman having the upper hand on our poor seong, and seong pulls a prank gun on him, this time, it's seong, having an upper hand on the salesman, who had a prank gun pointed at him.

Notice the subtle smile on the recruiters face when he sees Gi Hun in the subway, realizing that he actually survived and won the game. The recruiter gives off the same smile when Gi Hun wins roulette against him, right before taking his life. Remember their first encounter. Gi Hun tells him, "I don't believe in Jesus." When Gi Hun gets dropped off after winning the games there is a street preacher. Look at the symbolism during these scenes btw. Then Gi Hun meets Oh Il Nam in the "Sky Building," on December the 24 (Xmas Eve) on the seventh floor. Oh Il Nam dies on Xmas morning (aka the birth of Christ/birth of the God of the New Testament). These aren't just easter eggs. There is a much deeper story being told. It's also reflecting the influence of western culture on Korean culture.
