This looks absolutely gorgeous! Thanks for the history lesson as well. For even more history, the Dutch were once one of the most powerful trading empires in the world, with trade that rivaled that of Spain’s and Portugal’s. Honestly, the amount of land they once held was shocking. It is important to note though, that they (especially in the spice islands) were just as brutal (if not more so) towards native populations as Spain and Portugal were.

So weird to see a mix of Amsterdam, Delft, Utrecht and so many other places all rolled into one.”Huis Den Bosch” is old Dutch for “House of the forest”. The real place is a Royal Palace in The Hague. This Japanese park is like a full-size version of Madurodam in the Netherlands. 😅

Not Japanese towns, but we do have an Okura hotel in the real Amsterdam. It has a Japanese shopping mall in the basement where you can get Japanese items, including anime, manga, food and music. For the dutchies here: that hotel is where Herman Brood jumped off the roof from.

It looks like you stayed at one of the hotels inside Huis Ten Bosch. That certainly makes your trip more convenient -- and maybe more enjoyable too, because it apparently allowed you to view how the theme park is at night. I lived in Sesabo, Japan for several years. During my time there, Huis Ten Bosch was one of my favorite spots in town. However, to save money, I headed back home the same day most of the time. Even in those occasions I stayed overnight, I stayed at the cheaper onsen hotel, Hotel Lorelei, across the bridge in front of Huis Ten Bosch. So, I'm glad that you at least filmed the hotel lobby at the beginning of this video and your hotel room in the middle of it. I also loved the night shows at the park. Those were things that I didn't get to see, despite having visited Huis Ten Bosch multiple times. 😄 Nice video. And it was very nostalgic for me. I'm glad that you enjoyed your trip.

Ive been to the netherlands many time because i live close. This place is like an exact copy. I can see myself there, sitting in cafe in the evening and forget thats not the real netherlands. But all the tourists would break the mimersion.

Well currently Japan is very far behind in number of Dutch towns compared to the Netherlands. So if it's a race, they'd better step up their game! :)
