Small Faces were one off the best rock bands of all time, Steve Marriot one of the best front men of all time, Ronnie Lane also had a great voice and wrote many of 'The Faces' songs you'd probably recognize them as Rod Stewart songs.

Thank you from a subscriber. I LOVE Small Faces. This early song was their first #1 hit. Steve Marriott was highly regarded by his peers. Robert Plant (Zeppelin) idolized Small Faces and was highly influenced by Marriott. both Roger Daltry (WHO) and David Bowie have written that Steve was the best soul/rock singer UK ever produced. These 4 teenagers from London's East End were incredibly talented, very creative and quite soulful. After Steve Marriott quit Small Faces on NY eve 1968/69, he formed Humble Pie with Peter Frampton. Rod Stewart & Ron Wood were added to the remaining Small Faces and dropped the "Small" as they weren't anymore. Although I also love Humble Pie and the Faces, IMO, neither band was as great at the mother band - Small Faces. My Favorite Pie songs: I Wonder" (very bluesy) and "I Know You're So Good For Me" (beautiful) also "hot & Nasty is fun and a great showcase for Steve's singing.

An interesting fact . When Rolling Stones needed a guitarist, Steve Marriott was mooted for the role, but Ronnie Wood was recruited instead. The reason, Mick Jagger knew Marriott could be a threat due to his singing voice, so he vetoed it. As you alluded to a slightly heavier sound, listen to Wham Bam Thank You Mam. I am not suggesting a review but just a listen when you have time as it was quite heavy for 1969.

Understand your need for more subscribers but I like your current format where you play a bit of everything. There are some bands where you reacting to them on a regular basis is likely to achieve this aim. From a UK perspective these would include stuff like Depeche Mode, The Jam, Arctic Monkeys, ELO, The Cure, The Clash, The Specials, Madness, Squeeze, The Smiths, Bowie amongst others of course. Personally, I'd like to see you keep throwing in songs/ bands to keep some element of the eclectic mix you currently have but recognise you may need to go a little top-heavy on the "favourites" to get your numbers up....much deserved by the way! Take care

A good way to get more views and hence more subscribers is to pick a few more popular reaction songs.... Monsters by James Blunt is popular as is Tom Sawyer by Rush. Just a suggestion. Another suggestion might be to watch lyric videos so you can get an idea of what the song is about while you're listening. The Jam and Specials songs in particular have very powerful lyrics. Paul Weller of Style Council, The Jam fame is a huge Small faces/Steve Marriott fan. He based a lot of his styles on Steve. Loving your channel. :-)

@@KeeFHQVideos It's kind of why we hit on Kate Bush so early. We saw that 'Running Up That Hill' was making the reaction rounds. We obviously weren't doing that song, so I (Chris) thought, I'll show Cynthia a Kate song that I know. Experiment IV. She still didn't receive it well, and admittedly, it was a less music heavy Kate song. But, that got a bunch of people looking for Kate to ask us for more songs. I think Depeche Mode came next. You need to do a deeper dive to really understand this under-appreciated band! The Universal, I Feel much better, Get yourself together
