Great video. I saw another one where they used some kind of 4" flashing tape to cover the roof peak and sides. This is what I have planned to do, over the silicone as you showed here. I appreciate your info. I'll applying a lot of your tips here. Thank you.

I did reapply some silicone in a few areas that cracked, as expected, but overall it is still holding up great. In real heavy rains, and depending on wind/direction of that rain, we can get small leaks around door or window vent on roof. Thanks so much for watching

I just got the same 6x10. So far im liking it for the price. I noticed you built the framing then slid the pannels in. On ours, we have to slot the panels in at the same ti.e we put the frame in. Its a pain in the butt, but there are grooves for all sides of the panels on the framing. Still, we caulked just like you did.

Thanks for watching. The installation of the panels went fairly smooth for us. The hardest ones for us were the last couple on each side of the roof. We have been pleased with it so far. We spent the first couple weeks making adjustments to get the humidity level and temperature we were looking for along with proper ventilation. Caulk helped a lot and so far no leaks.

I got a 6 x 8 in my door. Depart were missing to put it together the 227 so then we had to email them and then wait for them to send the parts. It was about two weeks before we finally.

We did have all the parts for our kit, but a couple were mislabeled. Did not take too long to figure out. Glad to hear they sent you parts that were missing and hope the kit is working out well for you

Thanks for posting. I'm planning to buy a little glass Veikous one on Amazon to use here in Ireland. My biggest problem is the wind. I've had a potting shed blown to bits already so I'm looking for ways to hold the thing down.

Thanks so much for watching. We've had some bad storms with high winds this winter. The tie down straps we have in place, I feel, have made a huge difference in stabilizing the structure.

Hey there! My partner and I completed our Veikous greenhouse build but are struggling to figure out how to attach the automatic vent opener since the greenhouse frame doesn’t seem to have a lip. What kind of metal attachment piece did you use to add the vent opener? Thanks so much for your help so far! We’ve already used a lot of your ideas, like the anchoring kit, so this is one of our last steps to finalizing!

We bought the same greenhouse. How many tubs of silicone caulk did you end up using. Was it 3?

We got the same one it’s a disappointing hunk of trash. My wife thought it would be a little better quality for the price compared to some of the others. The pre drilled holes aren’t aligned, we had to chase almost every thread to get the bolts to go in. Pieces aren’t cut well. Super flimsy ,It’s just junk. I should have bought the panels and built one myself .

Sorry to hear this didn't work out and I had read similar reviews when we were deciding on what brand to purchase. But we also read many more positive reviews in comparison to other brands. It's been over 6 months since we built it and it has held up great for us so far. Thank you for watching and sharing your experience with this item.

How has winter been so far for you with this Greenhouse. My husband bought me one for Christmas. Im in WV. So we will probably have to add support for snow i assume. But I was also wondering how it did in the cold with that heater and an idea of how much it cost you for the electric bill. . if you wouldn't mind sharing. Thank you for the video!

The greenhouse has held up above our expectations. Caulking both the inside and out was well worth it. The only water penetration we find is at the door during heavy storms, but that is minimal. While we have not had any snow, we have had a few storms producing wind gusts between 40-60 mph. January saw some days that were well below our normal temperature range. We had nights in the teens and some days that struggled to get above 40. The heater has been great, but does come at a cost. Our electric bill was high due to the colder temps, but i estimate the space heater added $30-35 to our bill in January. This was more than December, where I estimated $20 in additional costs. I have our greenhouse thermostat set at 65 degrees. If I were to lower that to 50-55, I would anticipate electric costs would be lower. Daytime temps from the sun keep the greenhouse between 65-80 most days. Thanks for watching

Want to clarify on January electric cost, to hopefully give a better idea on estimated costs. I failed to mention that we had about 8 days in January when heater was off. On average, it costs about $1.50-2/day for about 8 hours of run time. Here in central NC, the heater usually only kicks on at night.
