Today we're doing an extreme clean, organize, declutter of my house. We're doing an extreme declutter of my childs wardrobe. We're also decluttering a small bedroom. We want to get rid of as much clutter as possible to live more minimally. In this video, I share my decluttering tips for a small home.

Catherine I had the same problem in passing down clothes when the oldest is 3 years older, I found if I kept the traditional things like jeans and shirts without logos or characters that when the younger one fit into them they were not identifiable with a certain year or looked outdated or even the fact that you could tell they were hand me downs! Kids characters change throughout the years so those shirts I donated. Great job! time consuming but well worth it in the end! Great video!

Great video! My daughter is 8 and it is a never ending cycle of decluttering. You did a great job! Just finished working in her room for 6 hrs tonight decluttering and sorting through all the clothes and stuffed animals. Maybe you can try the roll method? I’ve started pairing shorts and shirts together. I fold each in half long ways. Then I place the shorts on top of the shirt and roll them together. That way my 3 year old can grab one roll. And that’s his shirt and shorts for the day. It makes it easy for both of us.

We have totes for days of our son’s old clothes. And yesterday was the day I decided to just pulled out one tote at a time and start separating them. One pile for keeps (in case of another baby), one pile for donations, and one pile to sell (anything I make from selling will go in his piggy bank). You’re right, he doesn’t need this many clothes. I’m trying to declutter our storage space.

For Carson's shirts in the drawers, I think bookends (at the back of each column) or a tension rod (across the back of the drawer) could help support his shirts and keep them from falling over.

You are a great Mom! When my boys were younger, we were lucky to have my parents live fairly close by. I would “ pass on and “share” their art work with them for “ their refrigerator”! And tell them that I didn’t need it back!😇 No guilt there!!

To help keep things from getting messy as easy, I havg everything I can up for my son. I dont hang pjs, Pants, shorts and underwear. It makes it so easy to see what he has and I don't have to keep folding things either

I find if you are worried about back pain, sitting the laundry basket on the chair beside the table helps, you don't have to bend as far down!

My boys will be 3.5 years apart, and I decided that I don't want to store all of the handmedowns from my oldest for 3+ years and hope they will work for the right season (oldest is February birthday and new baby comes next week). I save my absolute favorites, and pass along other items to a family at church. I would rather the clothes get used than sit in storage for years.

Also my kids constantly got toys and clothes for gifts I had to tell my sisters aunts grandparents to just give one small gift and put money in a card for every holiday/birthday. And let me tell you….way less clutter and junk in the house AND we were able to save so much in each kids savings accounts for when they turn 18 or move out we will give them their $ and they’ll be much happier with a big hunk of cash verse so many toys and clothes that have been decluttered over the years with nothing to show!
