Yes have the window in the kitchen slide over and switch the bedroom with the bathroom. The bathroom can then be a storm shelter too.

Building codes often require windows in bedrooms. This would have to have no door to pass…as a studio apartment. A window/opening could be put on an inside wall as well, to allow light and airflow.

Some homeless destroy the units where they are house IM NOT SAYING THAT ALL DO but some do. And its because they are sometimes on drugs and with heavy mental issues 😌

Make it wheelchair accessible with wider doorways, a tall toilet, & handicap railings. This would work for independent living of limited seniors & other restricted mobility people. Ideally with a side-by-side W/D unit available.

Nice design for student housing in mild weather, dry climates. For wet climates the roof should slant toward the back of the units to drain water and there should be gutters and downspouts. For cold climates the washer/dryer should be indoors -- move that kitchen wall further to towards the rear of the units to make room indoors for each washer/dryer. The windowless bedroom would not pass the building codes in the U.S. Just get rid of the bedroom wall that has the door and turn the bedroom into an alcove for the bed. Hang curtains across the opening to block light in the bed area. No need for more bedroom privacy than that because just one person or a couple would be living in one of these tiny units.

That was my first reaction. Although swapping the location of bedroom and bathroom might reduce bathroom privacy, you aren't going to be entertaining lots of visitors in that unit! I suppose you could have a louvered door for the bedroom to provide ventilation. Otherwise, it looks quite livable!

Get rid of the stone cladding and paint. Place factory painted hardy board instead for durability. Use commercial method of flat roof using small rocks. Search the perfect wall system. Get rid of that designer door on the exterior. The small ledges on it hold water. Bad long term Place the ac in a high spot so you don't have theft issues, because this would probably be used in that area. All prevents flood damage and takes away walking space. Instead of interior walls, use Murphy bed and other fold out furniture. Or atleast use barn door for bedroom. It would be much more low budget if you put the plumbing on the same wall for 2 units.

In house like this, where do you usually locate the columns?

In this project, the columns may be located at the wall where the main door is, then the other column at the farthest wall at the back (the wall at the toilet and bath). A column may also be added at the center of those two columns but that would depend on the size and materials to be used for the columns.

The beams shall be located at the top where you put the columns. The beams will be the connectors of the column. It should look like a grid. :)

Muy hermosa. Pero nunca ningún diseñador pone zona de closet en las recámaras. Podrías diseñar una vivienda económica de una planta con dos recamaras, un baño, sala/comedor/cocina. Con patio. Como para un terreno de 6*10 o 6*12. Con Closets en cada recamara. 5*6/5*7/ Si tiene desniveles, mucho mejor. Mil gracias. Muy amable. Saludos.

Rooms should be fully airconditioned. Else, it's gonna be too hot. Room size does not meet the minimum floor space requirement of Ph building code as well.

Hello. The estimated cost per unit is Php280k - Php400k. Soif all three units, that would range from 840k - 1.2m. Though it will also depend on hired professionals and contractor/builder as well as location and material specification. Sure, we'll do that in the future. Thank you 😊

I don't understand why can't there be more such high density homes. However I believe bedrooms should be at least 3m by 3m they must fit a double bed, and living rooms should be 4x3m at minimum. These are basic humane standards.

It's a tiny unit. The refridgerator is needlessly big. Make it smaller and provide additional storage on top. Put the washing maching in the shower room and not outside to be exposed to the elements.

Hello. The estimated construction cost for this is Php840k to Php1.2m (15000-21500 euro). But it will still depend on the professionals and contractor that you will hire. Your location and material specifications will also affect the final cost. Please note that I live in the Philippines that is why the estimate I told you is based on the prices here. I am not familiar with the material and labor costs in your country, sorry. Anyway, regarding to how long it may take to build, here in our country, it could take up to four months.
