The key is functionality, if its too cute for you and whoever else you live with to maintain its pointless. It doesn't have to look like an organization magazine cover if its organized and functions then it works dont mess with it 😉

i agree. i get sick of all these "everything in the fridge and pantry is perfect" videos. american's seem to spend so much time repackaging everything out of perfectly good packets and containers into other perfectly good "looking" containers - that no one else will see lol. its no wonder they cant afford to live. they have no time to go to work ! your home is a sanctuary AWAY from the world, not a window into it. stop presenting everything in your home as if the "house and garden" photographer is going to pop in for a quick impromptu photoshoot.

Great inspiration, thank you. My personal "hack" for reaching higher shelves is: storing taller items near the top and flat items in the lower shelves. If I store tall items on the lowest shelf, the next shelf up will have to be high enough to make room for the tall items. If I put only flat items there, I can bring the next shelf lower and still reach the items on it. I only need to reach the bottom of the tall items to take them down securely. This has seriously saved me fetching a ladder many times. 😁

I about started screaming when I watched you apply the velcro command strips 😂 there’s a way simpler way to apply them! I always stick them together first, and then peel one side off and apply it to the object I’m hanging. Then you just peel off the other side and then stick it directly to the wall/surface! For heavier items you just take the item off the wall to allow the strip to cure without the weight. This video has so many good ideas tho! 😊

My huge spice collection was a problem until I bought magnetized steel containers that I put on the side of my fridge. I bought pretty labels on Etsy. Alphabetical order in rows for super easy selection. Also I bought a hanging rod and hooks for my pots and pans which saved me crawling into my corner cabinet. Then I bought a magnetic knife rack so I could eliminate my knife block from my countertop. I have a large bookcase in my kitchen for cookbooks, mixing bowls, measuring cups, canisters, food processor, coffee grinder, extra plates, and so on. Honestly the pans no pots are the hardest to store 😅 especially in a small kitchen

I redid my spices just a few weeks ago and labeled the glass jars. I also put a label on the back with the expiration date.

Love this video. Thank you. I also use tension rods with springs to adjust perfectly across the cabinets to hang items for quick access.

We use the little two drawer holder that you used for your dish towels under your sink for our pantry like that. Its definietly helped.

It’s a good idea to put a liner under the sink before adding the shelves and baskets. It protects the cabinet from leaks and spills, and if you get a light color it’s easier to see under there. Also you can add additional shelves to your upper cabinets. I moved onto a house with a kitchen 1/3 the size of my last house. I had Home Depot cut one additional shelf for each of my cabinets, grabbed a box or two of shelf pegs and now I don’t need plastic things that probably cost more than a length of wood.

I wish I can do that too but my landlord is so strict that I can’t add shelves here 😅 but shelves definitely help

For your pots and pans, just cut a tier off to fit different sizes :). Thank you so much for sharing!

Use a magnetic hook on your oven for your oven mitt. It will clear up door space for another pot/pan lid :) Also, in the pantry, a lot of those narrow boxes (pastas, etc.) can be laid on top of each other, tops facing out for readability, to maximize vertical space.

I thought the same when she was organizing the pots. Or I will find a bother place in another cabinet because I don’t like having it outside if it doesn’t match the colours in my kitchen 😅
