Join Graeme for some small pond fishing In a lake that holds some big secrets! This is a film that GP made this winter when he fancied his luck trying to find a big fish at a tiny Somerset Pond. He tries with rubber grub lures, working round the margins, but in the end has to sit down and concentrate on his secret bait. Supermarket Prawns! You always know he is going to try a bait a bit out of the ordinary, but will he get a nibble? Watch the film to find out. Plus there is a segment at the end showing you where he has been spending his time recently..it's up at a new Woodland just bought by Mike from TA Outdoors. Check how far they have got with the various timberwork

prawns seem to be a rock-solid addition to the bait choice graeme. i am about to start up the sport after a 15 year lapse. i think i'd be happy to chance this bait!, it's certainly more adventurous than the maggots or sweetcorn, though the time for those will come again as the season changes back to old school baits.

Uncle Greame! You need to try Johnsons lake at Godalming Angling Society, large fish...but very difficult to catch. Also another spooky lake called Wood Lake Busbridge...pike up to 30 pounds... But extremely hard to fish there for some reason.

The joy of perch is that big ones can crop up in any size lake if the conditions are right, I've caught dozens of 3lb+ specimens in tiny ponds of less than 2 acres and my PB of 5lb 2oz came from a very small lake.

Because of the possible reaction, no-one would dare to make a video of the best Perch bait/method anymore 😨 = a float fished lip hooked live minnow 😨😨. Honest to God, when I was a kid, the minnows took longer to catch than the perch 😨 ... until I got taught how to catch minnows with a wine bottle. .. not that I'd come across many wine bottles at 7 years of age 😨😨

Hi Graeme, you have opened my ears and brain over the years whilst I have been dedicated to your channel. While I enjoy all of your uploads and am grateful for all of your efforts that offer me the opportunity to try methods that I have shied away from in the past, in a selfless attempt to help me to catch more and larger species. However I am becoming extremely concerned that High Seas Drifter, (you know 'that Yellow Banana' skippered by you and crewed by Mavis and Smith, the ones that keep an eye out for your nodding rod - oops sorry rods) has become very conspicuous by her absence. If that is because, it seems that age and danger are best buddies. Then at 63, not many years behind I offer my assistance (no charge involved) to operate the filming and safety equipment, while you concentrate (with edited part time breaks for you and I) on your 'manic' fishing sessions. You could even get away with a slight change of series name eg. " a man fishing solo at sea plus a bit of extra ballast" now surely that would work. Ok I know and am preparade for the inevitable round of rough and tumble with 'Smith' and 'Mavis' who, understandably would consider me the enemy and trying to capture their titles regarding the number of 'nodding rods' that they claim. Do not worry I am good at soothing inaccurate concerns. On the more serious side please consider this as both a genuine concern and a sincere offer. (PS We do not even have to be friends Ha! Ha!) Keep those vids coming. Sincerest respects.
@TAFishing
@TAFishing 2 жыл бұрын
Thanks for concern.Its not being used as my closest slipway is 50 miles away and they have banned all public usage and even stopped new membership so I'm stuffed as I don't want to drag it anywhere that does not give me 24/7 launch/retrieve.
