Warm him/her up first. Offer her a warm blanket. When you take him/her into your home. Feed him/her plain oatmeal made from scratch not instant one. To the oatmeal add warm chicken broth. Then a nice warm bath. Oatmeal is high protein, soft on the tummy, with added chicken broth it provides all the nutrients, and it calms the tummy down.

We’ve encountered something similar, but with four puppies. They were starving and the first time we fed them was heartbreaking… We noticed one puppy was hiding under the olive tree, wining… However, The olive tree was very narrow, so it was hard getting the puppy. Once we got her out we tried feeding her, but she wouldn’t eat… My family decided to take that puppy to the vet, Eventually dying though… Because all the puppies were so hungry, they chewed on rocks and all sorts of unhealthy things to consume. My family and I really wanted a border collie, it seemed that they were a cross that seemed to be with a border collie, though we’re not sure. We ended up taking one puppy and named him Maxie, the other two are females and are already at their foster home. Hopefully Bengi/Hershey gets a wonderful home! I’m sure he’s really grateful for such people to come towards him, like a miracle.

Hi Elly, he is adorable! He is a stray puppy, so we don't believe he was dumped. He is currently around 2 months old. Yes, while being showered for the 5th time in a row because of the fleas, he got a bit shocked - it must have been his first ever shower. However, he got used to it now :)

I also adopted a 7 year old Yorkie 2 years ago, 2019. She was found as a stray. No collar and no chip. I lost my 14 year old Golden Retriever the June of 2019 who my daughters and I found in 2005. We were in New Orleans during hurricane Katrina. After the storm we saw her wandering around by herself. We brought her home with us back to Baltimore. (Already had 3 dogs at home!) All the dogs got along from the beginning!!

What a beautiful & gorgeous little puppy he is. He looks awfully sweet & gentle, & didn't appear to be agitated or hostile, either. I just wish the old lady, or one of her grand children, had gotten him & took him inside, then called you. There's no telling how long he had been out there in the cold when she found him or how long it took you to get to her house after she called you. He's ditto my Cooper. Looks exactly the same, found him weakest among the litter, was extremely calm at his first bath. One month with us and his personality has blossomed. He's strong, active and no longer a timid pup. He's very intelligent and keeps a check on his sister's mischiefs who was the most active and healthiest of the litter.

This little guy is so precious & brave. He has a loving and forgiving nature. He makes me smile and he lifts my spirit. I would run to give him my home, but I cannot do so.
