This show teaches us to value and love our elders/grandparents more. I'm sure most of them didn't have the experience back then to even go to the theaters maybe their community didn't have one or busy tending their families. My deceased grandmother (born 1924) never had the experience to watch a movie because of the old custom that wives back then should just stay at home. We are now very fortunate to have these luxuries. So this show really is close to me. Continue to go to other places and give the elders to experience movies in their lifetime.

Lee Sung Kyung brought me here. But I am finishing this loving EVERYONE involved. 😢 This is such heartwarming, fun, meaningful and memorable project! 🥲 The Actors and Actress all seem genuine with what they are doing. Scripted or not, their heart shines through. And as a person who grew up with my grandparents, I was crying in every episode seeing all their smiles and sharing their thoughts. 🥺 thank you for bringing this experience to them!! It was such an odd team with 3 male seniors and a beautiful female junior. Oddly enough, their chemistry was really amazing and they worked really well together. The sunbaes were all so fun and caring and everyone really brought something valuable to the table. Those chairs they gave, especially Chungsak who can’t stop talking about it, such a huggable soft-hearted bear 🥹 Lee Sung Kyung, though, the reason I am here, so I might be a little biased but I feel like it is justified - she shines through this project. Maybe because she was the only girl, and a junior at that. But she was really able to connect with her seniors. Her bubbly, humble, beautiful and amazing self is just showing through the screen. I also loved that she really took time to go to church 30 minutes away. Bare-faced and only brushed her teeth! How awesome is that!? A simple and humble human being, rooted with her faith. 🥹 And though she’s a model and young, she adjusted really well with her environment, I’m sure it was a big adjustment. And I am impressed how well she worked with her seniors and got very close to them at the end. What an amazing personality she has and person she is. And I agree with Junhyeok, watching her do absolutely anything and everything and is like watching a TV Program. I can watch her all day. ☺️ though I really appreciated that they didn’t show much of her in her room and gave her privacy. That would be creepy. Lol. I already love her that’s why I stumbled into this, but I LOVE her even more after watching this. I feel like I am watching a reality TV show since I got to peek at the actors functioning in their daily life.. but it was so much more than that. I got to see all their heart. Kudos to everyone behind this concept! And the casting was perfect ❤️ I am a few years too late for this, but I just subscribed! 🫶 I am absolutely in love with this project!! Everything about it! Thank youuuuuu 🥹❤️ And of course, Thank you for the English Subs!! All feeling I felt wouldn’t be possible for me without it. 🥹

I was absentmindedly smiling the whole duration of all the episodes. It was such a heartwarming and educational show. I cried and laughed with the elderly. Its a shame this show only lasted 5 episodes. It would've been better if it was continued to another village :)

I fervently wish there’s another season of Small Town Cinema. A great show!!!! Enjoyed every episode. And am sure it created an unforgettable memories to the people of the small village of Aegok. It was for me,as one of the many non korean KBS followers a pleasant surprise to watched this great project. Love this show...for me this show way way better from the rest of variety show currently on air on TV. It also the same vibe and the same characters formula with Fishing Village Season 1 & 2 with the ensemble casts of Cha Seung Won, Yoo Hae Jin and Son Ho Jun only. Sun Dong il / Cha seung won - Bickering and man of the house/grup, Go Chang Suk/ Yoo Hae Jin - Always the cool, father/brother vibe true to themselves, Lee Jun Hyeok/Lee Sung Kyung/Son Ho Jun - maknae, mischievous, obey the seniors and do the chores...the feelings and vibe presented by the actors who are not in variety show business before make them awkward at first in a good way in order to entertain us as audience. The characters so humble and down to earth and be true to yourself make both shows for me, worthy and heartwarming to watch, compare to other variety shows (even others Fishing Village series and other programs contains idols are very bored and plastics)...no offense..
