How refreshing it is to meet a Southerner who is proud of it and makes no excuses for it. My wife is from Tennessee and it makes her sick to see the Confederate flag disgraced as it has become ("Heritage Not Hate"), the removal of the statues of the Southern and Confederate heroes, and here especially refers to General Lee, who said he could not and would not raise his sword against his home, and refused a generalship of the Union Forces. A man so revered of his homeland to be treated with such disgrace. Include here the Dixie Chicks who obviously have no sense of pride, to the extent they'd run change their name to be more 'sensitive" and politically correct? Yeah, all those CD's sounded great hitting the inside of the trash can. I get it that there are 2 sides to every question and more than one possible solution. What I don't get is the our way or else solution.
