Love the memories you brought back to me from many years ago. My grandparents use to live in Pennington Gap and dads family in Big Stone Gap. Loved passing thru Pineville we use to stop at a dinner attached to the chain rock motel to eat. Keep up the great videos

So now I'm wondering if you were in Bell Co back when I was. I remember Lake Mistake back in the 1970's. I think I remember catching some channel cats back then, but I definitely remember rowing on my friends boat and seeing snakes swimming through it. When you google lake mistake nothing comes up. Glad I found this video. All these years later. BTW, that's my real name, Hugh Blanton. I wonder if I know you.

I know about lake mistake where the golf course is it was growed up and swamp when I was growing up. I used to go up to Canon creek and catch a bunch of cat fish take em home and fry em up

One winter in the late sixties we had a cold snap and Lake Mistake froze over and we had several weeks of ice skating. It was wonderful as many Pineville people gathered there as much as we could til it finally melted.
