This is the first video I have ever seen on using masking fluid as an aid to coloring backgrounds. It certainly speeds up the process without endangering the picture itself, and that is certainly worth the effort of using it. Sometimes, I think that in certain cases, "less is more" can be a method worth considering. Before the addition of the gold paint, and all that was applied after it, I thought that I was looking at a beautiful, amazingly dramatic background. For me that dramatic feel was lost, or covered over, with the additions made to the background after that point. That is not a criticism, it is just a matter of personal preference. Obviously, judging from other comments, your additions were all loved by those seeing your video. Your demonstration of the use of masking fluid to protect a picture while speeding up the background process was really appreciated very much. I was considering using soft pastels, before seeing this video, but was hesitating because they are very messy and difficult to control. Your technique of using masking fluid to remove any worry about them getting onto my picture is very reassuring. I am looking forward to seeing your video on coloring this picture and on how to apply the masking fluid to a coloring book page. Thank you so much for sharing this process.

Gorgeous! I'm curious what the other side of the paper looks like? I'm assuming the ink probably seeps through making the other side unusable but just curious?

No not at all :) Completely fine. It doesn’t go through at all. The only time it has ever gone through for me was when I have applied too much in one spot over and over without giving it a minute to dry 😊

What kind of ink did you say this was and the name of the brush
@sarahcarabotcolours951710 ай бұрын
This was the Memento Dew Drop Inks. The brush is just an ink application brush/tool. It was from a cheap shop locally and it didn’t have any branding on it for an actual name I’m sorry.
