+1. If someone makes an eagle/birdie shot from 200+ ft, that's damn impressive, and should be something you're proud of, perhaps just as much as you would be of an actual ace, but at the end of the day an ace is an ace. They are impressive because of how rare they are, I don't see the point in diminishing that by comparing long birdies/eagles to aces from the tee. I say this as a person who still has no aces in all my years of throwing.

What's the argument? Ace, Albatross, Eagle, Birdie, Par and Bogey. Where is Field Ace? Did you see me crash that Field Ace home from 300' for triple bogey? I agree the whole thing is silly, but somebody could have coined a better phrase for making a long shot into the pole hole that isn't a one shot(Ace).

ACE = 1, stopping calling it a field ace! It's a throw in. Its called an ACE because it scored 1 on the card. Impressive shots, amazing skills, but it is not an ace. If we call these throw in Aces, I get C1 aces all the time.
