Last video from Ireland to Japan- love and appreciate every single one of you who have supported the videos in any way. This has been a once in a lifetime opportunity and I couldn't have done it without the support of my patrons or ppl sending me a few bucks on PayPal or whatever. But even if you've just watched the vids and shared it with your friends, you've made a huge difference. I filmed this video when I still had like 4,000 subscribers, so to see how far the channel has come in just a few months is really... I don't even know how to put it into words. Just a dream come true. I was dead broke when I was in Japan and now I'm making a living doing what ive always dreamed of. Kinda rambling now but I just really appreciate and love you guys. Till next time 🫡

Thank you for being so kind and polite to Japanese people, we've had a stream of idiot vloggers around here lately giving a bad name to foreigners, although it seems that Japanese authorities have had enough of these troublemakers and are cracking down on them, praise be to them for it.

I was in a steady job back in the 1990s. Then I moved to Japan aged 26, and now I am much older. Never regretted it. The world is too small to be stuck in the place you were born. If you've got that urge, do it. The worst thing about living in Japan? Anime. I feckin hate it and it's everywhere.

In mid-November I came down with the Flu, and was unable to work. While I was bedridden for a few days, the KZbin algorithm introduced me to your content. I proceeded to binge watch every piece of content that you produced in the last year and a half. I've even watched some of my favorite episodes 2 or 3 times already. I can't get enough. Your videos perfectly encapsulate the feeling of wanderlust. These videos ignite the urge in myself that wants to buy a ticket to a country who's language I do not speak, just to see where I end up, to see who I end up meeting, and see what kind of once-in-a-lifetime experiences I end up having. Conner, you're a fantastic presenter. Outgoing, funny, witty, friendly, and best of all; small-brained and willfully ignorant in the best ways. I wish I could have a beer with you! Your editing is funny, the memes, the fake translations, etc. When you watch Small Brained American, you might not learn of the elaborate, vibrant history of the Seven Wonders of the World, however, you WILL learn of the indelible, hospitable spirit of humans around the world. These videos and your experiences are so charming and fun to watch. Since I've finished them all, I'm absolutely ITCHING for new content all the time. This video was fantastic. Can't wait to see what the future brings for you, Conner! - Cody, MT.

Enjoy your break bro you deserve it. But don’t forget that you bring something so raw and fresh that big content creators lack. You bring forth real time exploration and emotion that is so lacking these days. It’s just genuinely you. You who are so respectful, curious, humorous, and consistently in awe. You encapsulate all of our own thirst for adventure. Idk how you appeared in my algorithm but I’m so glad you did! I don’t comment on videos but you need to come back and further quench your curiosity soon - whatever it may be, it will be fulfilling and wouldn’t hurt if you brought us along.

I remember that day like it was yesterday. I lived in saitama. I was in preschool, riding a unicycle outside of the field at my school, and the ground started shaking. We came back home, some windows were shattered and everything was on the floor. It was a very scary day. But being 6, I didn’t realize how badly this earthquake impacted Japan. And I never bothered to research later on. Now I’m 19, live in the U.S. and am still learning what happened that day and how it changed Japan forever. Thank you for making this video and showing this town.

I was in Tokyo for the earthquake, so I didn't realize that places in Fukushima are still abandoned like this. Thanks for this video. Some timestamps: 16:20 Stickers that state that fire alarms are installed (Mainly so that door to door salesmen don't try to scam people into buying them presumably) 17:14 The frame on the floor is some sort of award or license that they were given 18:55 The wooden board in the back likely lists the historical names of people either who worked or were the head of the fire station 19:00 The binders say 庶務綴, so administrative files 21:58 The sign says 防犯連絡所 so like "neighborhood crime watch" sort of deal 24:48 They had some leftovers that didn't sell 29:49 You were probably the most interesting thing they saw that day, instead of staring at documents they probably just wanted to see what's up

Japanese people are amazing. They always handle the disaster with such a dignity. I wish such a nuclear disaster never happens again to Japan.

man this was amazing to watch! the videos of you in ireland at the beginning makes me want to do this so bad. all the videos do but i think it was just where you were starting out at a hostel type thing and the way all you guys were partying and talking it was just really cool and made me want to get out and have adventures. best of luck in what you decide to do now

why do you get so worried about everything lol, it's odd but definitely entertaining though. Touching the dust a little bit is fine, touching the dust every day for years is not fine.

Bro, you are the man! I binged watched your entire journey in one weekend, and got family & friends hooked as well. From that weird encounter w/ahmed in iraq, crashing the indian wedding, having to part w/your bike, the crazy packed train ride in india & finding out you had a reserve seat😂, & the night out drinking in japan - total legend bro!!

Connor is the greatest. He is the GOAT, the finest Nippon investigative reporter of shinkansen, Keith Morrison of Japan. He should be given a medal from the emperor, particularly for his work of going to the radioactive Fukushima area risking his life & then getting drunk at the baseball stadium afterward in Osaka. ピースアウト
