Perhaps you guys can do a video on your buying, selling and moving experience. What you learnt. We have done that a few times but it may help others. About the Ramadan bazaar, perhaps lepas berbuka you can review some food you bungkus and makan on your podcast. Just a suggestion. Senior Citizen definition is flexible. At some pharmacies, once 50 we get discount

Food always sells in SG so am not surprised that Food has become the centre of the bazaar. Also there has been decentralisation. Danni I am sure you remember when we were teens in the 80s Macdonald's was only in Orchard Rd? No cinemas in heartlands? No big malls either in heartlands. But of course too many will be a problem as they need to pay rent too. Cant survive if not enough customers.

Totally agree that food sells in Singapore. But the thing is, with the CNY Bazaar and Deepavali Bazaar, this is not entirely the case. In the 80s, just like you say, the decentralisation of entertainment and eateries from Orchard Road really took off. It has brought us to the convenience we know now. It is this seasonal events which they are increasing in numbers which I find worrying. The impact of less footfall will be on the vendors and when not many vendors coming in, footfall will drop and business will be affected.

@@SmallCityIsland you are right about Deepavali and CNY bazaars but i think the reason could be due to Fasting. I.mean there is a need for food to break fast and with modern lifestyle many women work. No time to prep food. Btw do you guys cook all your meals for berbuka or buy as well? Do you go to.the Yishun bazaar?

We use to go to the Bazaar often but now we cook for iftar. We just went to the Yishun Bazaar last night. It was small, cozy and prices are quite reasonable. Nothing fancy but just a few vendors selling their honest to goodness food. The Ramly burger was good, up to expectation and the apam balik was nice.
