I usually color the edge of paper items with a marker that matches the image I cut out to hide the white edges. Do you think if I did it on old magazines, pamphlets, books, etc., the marker would bleed?

hi there - Your videos have inspired me to try collage from magazine and book pages. Couple of questions: Do you reinforce your thin magazine clippings before gluing down? Im having trouble with thin papers and some of the inks on glossy images. Do you embellish your finished designs with other media - paints, pencil, other? What do you use for protective layer on finished projects? Thank you.
