I just got a sopranissimo today for my bday. It’s meant to be to travel and practice more but tuning is weird and there’s no detail at all on KZbin or even google. What would you use and how to tune it if your are a beginner would be very helpful

I've got the spruce top and mahogany Ohana sopranino. It's got a sweet sound and is fun to play. Thanks for video. All best.

For a sopranino, I would probably want the all solid mahogany - like in this video... I probably wouldn't go below a sopranino.

0:58 Like the sopranino and sopranissimo, right? Also, what about the pineapple 🍍 ukulele?

Great videos. But the smallest smallest smallest is an italian made tiny uku called Iuke, and it tunes one octave higher than the comon ukus.

I almost feel like you could reach both ends of the fretboard of the sopranissimo at the same time. Maybe you could play some fun slash chords with that :)

I bought a sopranissimo to bring while traveling . Fits in my personal bag so no need to pay for a carry on.

I remember seeing some ukes called piccolo, maybe that is the same thing/scale as one of these two?

How fun. You can store it in your glove box so you always have one on hand for ULP live lessons and jams. Or easily play in your car while you are waiting for someone in an appointment. Put the littlest one in your purse for lunch breaks.

Iike saxophone nomenclature... sopranino smaller than a soprano :) Never knew they made ukes like that.

Honestly i play the soprano but i do see why some people prefer the concert or tenor its a matter of which one sound and feel better to the person but i don't see the point of a sopranino or sopranissimo other than just a cool little novelty or decoration.

There's no intonation problems w/ these things? Dang, they're so small. But then again, it's not like you'll be doing solo work on the fretboard like a concert or tenor.

ngl, I kinda want a sopranissimo, if for no other reason because I'm a big guy and it would be a spectacle to watch me play it (if I can even manager to paly something so tiny). Also, I'm usually not a fan of the pineapple shape, but for some reason I think it looks good on these, though I personally I don't think I can justify spending $160 on one, I might try to find one cheaper that still doesn't suck. As for a smaller ukulele, I printed one of these: www.thingiverse.com/thing:2786864. I'm not really sure if it is smaller though, and I can't measure it because I gave it away in a white elephant gift exchange. it cheats a little bit by not having a headstock and putting the tuners in the body, and it's a truly awful instrument to play and to listen to, especially with open chords (the intonation is funky between open and the first fret), but it is tiny.

As instruments get smaller, the more difficult to play, also for a funny routine to get smaller and smaller, as in clown routines. I am also a clown.
