I was a literal infant when the show first aired. I vaguely remembered watching half an episode from season 9 with my older sister, and then completely forgot about it till 2017, when the same sister bought the first season on DVD to see if it was actually good, or just her teenage angst and crushes. I borrowed it off her, binged it in 3 days, and immediately bought the second and third. By the time I'd finished those, I figured it'd work out cheaper to just buy the one box-set with all the seasons. I had them all finished within 6 months of watching the pilot. I can't imagine waiting a decade for the finale, though I suppose it's somewhat similar to how I felt when a small part of the Time War was finally shown in Doctor Who: Something I'd been hearing about and mythologising since I was five years old finally there for all to see

Great reaction dude, and you are right, back when this episode first aired and we were left with this cliffhanger it was torture to wait for season 2 to air. But let me tell you, this show had AMAZING cliffhangers pretty much in every season finale, but in for me season 3 finale cliffhanger was probably the most insane one and i couldn't wait for season 4 to air, you are gonna love it. This show is my favorite superhero show of all time, and one of my fav tv shows in general. Michael Rosenbaum the actor who plays Lex Luthor was AMAZING in this show and is hands down the best, most complex and best written live action Lex Luthor ever! And John Glover ( Lionel Luthor ) is one of the best actors i have ever watched. His portrayl of Lionel is epic, before there was GoT's Tywin Lannnister, this guy was "The father of the century" and is, in my personal opinion more interesting than Tywin Lannister. Enjoy the rest of the show dude.

The band playing the theme song at the school dance was a really nice touch. And this was a very good season finale. So much stuff happening. Very intense.

Thank you for these reactions, so glad I stumbled across them. S1 is very "Buffy freak of the week" but what is key is the character building and relationships between the cast is clear to the audience. It's a really fleshed out show and there is so much more to come in S2 & onwards to S10. I love this show, it's of its time & maybe dated for some but I just love the characters, the Kent's and the dysfunctional Luthor's. Can't wait to continue this adventure with you 👍🏼

This is such a realistic portrayal of what it felt like when they first aired this finale and we didn't know what was happening for MONTHS!! 😂 "what the fuck? WHAT. THE...
