I use to root for Lex and Lana’s relationship for containment purposes. I hated when Clark was with her because I found their relationship to be the same “tell me your secret/I can’t it will put you in danger/you don’t trust me” back and forth rather dull to watch. If it takes sacrificing her to Lex to stop the Clana madness then so be it. Clark and Lois are more fun to watch anyway.

Clark and Lois only had two seasons and could never measure up to what Clark and Lana brought throughout the series... We had several seasons of Clana we've seen their ups and downs...Their dynamic was endless along with the love they had for each other...Clois lacked chemistry and were like two bickering step siblings I don't find that "fun" to watch in the least bit.

But why is Lana annoying for moving on with her life? That is what Clark wanted wasn't it? He wanted Lana to hate him so much that she would have no choice but to move on. He can't dictate who with... Lex or no Lex. He can't have his cake and eat it too. The way he dumped Lana, he's lucky she's even saying hello to him. Clark set all this in motion. He is definitely to blame here. When you really think about it, Clark is the puppet master to a lot of people in his life. His stupid decisions has affected everyone around him.

Lana was always Clark's love interest it's been like that since the comics...Smallville did a poor showing of Clois they spent more time on Clana than they ever did with Clois...Who lacked chemistry and really only had two seasons romantically. Clana was the heart of the series once it left so did the ratings.
