HAHA yes finally ugh we clois shippers were fed so well this episode. 1) jimmy is the biggest clois shipper on the show and really spoke for all of us when he tried to set them up. we love to see it!! 2) this episode really showed how lois and clark, while they are at each other’s throats 99% of the time, do feel attraction for one another. clark was so affected by lois flirting w/ him at the kent house (i can’t get over his smile he’s so dumB) and although his inhibitions were lowered when he was on red k, it seems that throughout the show clark maintains his whole trying to show off for lois thing, because ironically he wants her to see him as more than a dorky farm boy since she’s the only one that doesn’t hold him on a pedestal. also when they were in the barn and lois said “wow i must’ve really liked you” you could tell the reality of her words hit both of them (especially her) and she was like oh! shit! and i think it was the beginning of both of them realizing they have feelings underneath the surface but of course they repress it anyways glad you enjoyed the episode we are now one step closer to our endgame 😭

I don't blame Jimmy for for breaking up with Chloe here. Firstly, when Jimmy accuses her of being jealous of Lois when they had they're brief hookup she snapped at him when she's never snapped at him before. Secondly, when Clark crashed the engagement party and humiliated Lana and Lex and Chloe just brushed it off even when Jimmy said that if he did the same thing she wouldn't even talk to him. Thirdly and the final straw for Jimmy was when he said if you had a choice you would rather be with Clark Chloe hesitated too long before she said of course not.

Olivia Rogers I can go with that. I was going off on that one RK episode where Lana asks what’s his secret and he was still reluctant to tell her even being under the influence of the RK. But he was so quick and eager to reveal it to Lois which I found interesting. Sure it might not have anything to do with trusting her. It’s just interesting that he would reveal his secret so quick to one but not the other.

I think it was because after witnessing the invasions in Arrival and Zod Lana was afraid of aliens and thought they all wanted to take over the world. Before that he knew she was wary of people with powers, considering they tried to kill everyone in the early seasons.

I think it's in character for Lex to try and take matters into his own hands. I think it's not too far off from him going after that guy who hurt Helen in season 2. I think the big difference is I think at this point in in his characterization, he'd be more willing to shoot the person.

If memory serves correctly, this episode and the episode where they kiss for the first time were thrown in to obviously hint at the two of them being together. But DC only allowed that to happen under the circumstances hat they both forget or they don’t know who the other is dying the first kiss because of the release of Superman returns. Which never made sense to me because Smallville was supposed to be its own universe, but then again that’s not the first dumb thing DC has done.

Personally I really hate this whole red kryptonite bullshit, as if clarks life isn't already complicated enough he has to deal with a drastic personality change where he can't control control what he says - It makes for great drama but it's just obnoxious from the pov of how everyone views clark. Give the guy a break, and at this point I wish we were over this whole lana thing but they relied soo much on that story that it weakens the show imo .. the justice episode prior was incredible, and then besides the whole chlois thing - this episode goes back to lana oncee again. I don't mind lex because he's the natural villain, but the lana story makes this too much about love / drama and takes away from the hero aspect that I'm mostly interested about.

Dude, if you stopped hyperventilating and screaming for a moment, and took the time to actually PAY ATTENTION to what was really going on in the scenes in this episode, you would've realized that Lana was STILL madly in love with Clark...and that SHE welcomed the kiss in the barn. It wasn't a nightmare for her because she finally realized that Clark was still in love with her also. You gotta' stop panicking and melodramatically over-reacting to EVERY single line of dialogue, and try to read between the lines.
@latraeosborne32873 жыл бұрын
well she did try to fight it for a little bit
@fidel2xl3 жыл бұрын
@@latraeosborne3287 She wasn't fighting Clark --- she was fighting herself. She was trying to 'fight back' against the strong feelings and urges she had for Clark. That's why she kissed him back. She always loved him and wanted him, but tried to bury her feelings and attempted to put up a pretense of not caring deeply for him.
@latraeosborne32873 жыл бұрын
@@fidel2xl it was a nightmare for her. Even if she wanted Clark, I highly doubt she wanted to be kidnapped, exposed, used and almost forced to kiss Clark. So I agree that is was still a nightmare for her.
@fidel2xl3 жыл бұрын
@@latraeosborne3287 The very next episode ("Trespass" - Ep 14), mere days after that "ordeal", she sought refuge at the Kent farm IN Clark's bedroom, IN Clark's bed. This was the episode in which she was being stalked by what turned out to be a bodyguard. And in that episode ("Crimson" -- Ep13), during the "ordeal" in the barn, when Clark asked her if she still loved him, she was saying "YES YES YES" with her eyes. Clark and Lana's relationship was toxic...but they were madly in love. And there was nothing bad that they could do to each other that would've ever made them truly 'hate' or fear each other. Anyway, days later she was sleeping in his bed while hiding from a stalker.
@latraeosborne32873 жыл бұрын
@@fidel2xl well it was also explained that episode that she thought no one would look for her which was a sound piece of logic but it was also stated that she had ulterior motives for going there. You can still love someone and hate what they do to you. Do I believe she loves him and cares for him yes. Do I also want her to slowly die in a ditch yes. That episode proved that she wasn't just there because she cares for Clark.
