I have one with the same spec. After my first 1.000kms I am really proud of my choice. I ordered a Volvo EX30 Twin-motor but the interior was too minimalist and the waiting list was over 6 months so I canceled the order. The #3 Brabus is bigger but overall I love it. The only thing I would change are the tyres, conti ecocontact for a car with that much power is not the best and be careful in wet, because you don't have to drive fast to slip, I will put some Michelin Pilot Sport 4S soon. It is difficult to drive slowly and get good MPG, on my daily drive I spend 15kWh/100kms. But the average in this 1.000kms is 19kWh.

My gf and I had some hands on experience with both Smart #1 and #3 at the ecar expo. The only negative was a smaller trunk. Everything else was really nice and would fit us perfectly

@@patpong5873 My story will this car is a long one. I fell in love with the concept car 3 years ago. While waiting I test drove others including the much cheaper MG4 XPower that has the same performance but has nowhere near the quality or the equivalent. The #1 Brabus is fully equipped with only two possible extras (flat paint & tow bar) both I didn’t want . Performance, grip and braking are fantastic. Most settings can be set in profiles but the law says that some can’t like lane keeping and driving mode which you need to alter each time you set off. This is the same in every new car. Watch Mat Watson (CarWow) review videos on KZbin. There are only two things that reviewers complain about and that is the door mirrors have to be adjusted through the screen, I adjusted mine in October so I don’t see this as a problem. And some find the boot space too small. That’s it. Go and test drive one you will love it. 🥰

@@patpong5873 I left you a long review but the algorithm didn’t post it so I’ll be short. I can’t fault the car in any way, it’s fast high quality and fully loaded. So long as the boot space is big enough for your needs you will love it. Mat Watson on CarWow has reviews on here worth checking out.

Thanks for the video! Can’t wait to see your tests on this and the #1. Im really on the fence about it vs the id3. Giving up some driving dynamics for a lot of quality of life improvements and tech while spending much less than a fully specked id3… Would be great if you could test how usable are the driving assistance systems and speed sign reading etc…

Bugs me that the Volvo EX30 does not allow you to connect a USB drive for music. Their USB ports are only for powering devices.

Pitty the boot is only 320 liters. Otherwise this Smart #3 was a great alternative for the new MINI Countryman. All other things that are not right with the MINI, are right in the Smart! Smart has speedometer in front of steering wheel, much better storage space between driver and passenger, more hooks in the boot, frunk, better range, etc.

I did a test in the #3 Brabus today. The Car is very Nice .. i like the Style and the features .. the only things that made it a no go for me are the right kneepad (My Legs are to long so the right side is constantly on the leatherseam and it hurts on long drives) and the Bluetooth.(its crap) In the City i had short Connection breaks when playing Music from the phone and also the quality on phonecalls is bad. As soon as i left the city the bluetooth worked but the call Quality was still bad. My 4 year old Kia niro EV does much better in these areas.

I hardly understand how it deserves a Brabus badge with all those cheap materials and limited exterior design additional features. In the same design style a Renault Megane or Scenic look and feel better. Brabus is supposed to mean Luxury high end performance not cheap EV.

Why using the term Matrix? That's VAG word for adaptive highbeam. Wierd how/why this become a generic word for this feature. Volvo/PS/MB/BMW/Mazda etc has their own names. Why want use adaptive highbeam?

Because it's a matrix of smaller LED. Adaptive could just be turning lights like on FL300 e-Golf.

The headlamp pattern for headlamps with pixel technology* can be reset when changing from right-hand to left-hand traffic, and vice versa. This function adapts the light from the headlamps to reduce the risk of dazzling oncoming traffic.17 nov. 2023
