Smart #3 first look - just a #1 with a coupe roofline? - AutoBuzz

Not long after the debut the Smart #1 in Malaysia, the Smart #3 is now here too. Its prices have yet to be confirmed but we’ve been given a chance to see it in the flesh. Looking like a shrunken Mercedes-Benz GLC Coupe, this might just be a better buy over the #1.

Only Toyota Prius makes brilliant use of glass roof embedded with Solar Panel. What a waste to have EV but only rely on charging port.

The range is just bad for modern EVs. Take away 20% from WLTP rated range, none of the variants have more than 400km of range at 100%.

Exactly, other brands has more power and more range, but this one is just below average.

You drove before? Smart range is quite accurate, drove from Kl to Penang with 3% less than the WLTP claimed, which is better than most of the other brands. Note that I drove 110-130kmh speed

It’s meant to be a small city car but accidentally became quite a spacious and roomy car inside. It punches above its category, when you comparing to BMW IX1, IX2, Volvo XC40 C40, they are all pricier but less power, charges slower than Smart. Of course if you wanna bang for the bucks have to go Chinese brand like BYD or Tesla. But BYD quality is just not as good as the more premium brands. It’s a quick car, but charges super slow with its ancient single phase 7kw AC OBC
