what nobody seems to explain is if you have a 10mm steel, you need to make a minimum 12mm diameter hole
@AdamSahr-cj4kf5 жыл бұрын
That's self-evident, isn't it?

On a separate note I tried to drill into a cinder block (a lighter concrete block) with my drill but did not succeed.

Hello. Why there is no video application of chemical anchors in capsules?

Are there any video that compares the strenght or the benefit and the bad between using this concrete glue and using silicone glue?..
@user-wg8kz4ef1d6 жыл бұрын
If you mean about the size of the cartridge, it has no influence on the strength obviously. If you mean between the difference of a silicon glue front of a professional chemical glue, it's huge. In fact, if you put a threaded rods of 12 mm with a professional glue at a depth of about 13 cm, you will get close to 4000 kg pull out force. If you put the same with silicon, you will get at most a few hundreds kg. Hope it has helped. Head of Engineering Department Adit Ltd www.adit.org.il

can one use in aerated concrete such as Y tong blocks?
@johannesheye34497 жыл бұрын
Yes, it can be used, but in general the adhesion in AAC blocks is less due to the base material's properties. One can drill a conical shaped drill hole (undercut function) in order to increase the resistance of the anchor. On site tests are always recommended.

I just did some tests using the Fischer product but it takes so long to dry. In the end I used other fixings. The Spanish have produced a document concerning which fixings work for Y tong blocks and for what loads and how to apply them: inside the wall, through the wall, or both. I used two of these fixings the first listed (GB) and the second (SX). The first takes a lot of hammering and I thought I would blow the wall!!! but it went in. I used them for some L shaped steel straps to retain the frame, the 2x4 wood plate on which I rested all of the joists that hold the flat roof I am putting up, a roof I will finish in GRP fiber glass. Here is the fixings list: www.ytong.es/es/docs/Fichas_fijaciones_Ytong.pdf

what you say about the conical drilling to make a plug was also recommended to us by the Fischer tech support. Well, one guy say that, but another said "no use with chemical" the picture is confusing on the Y tong blocks. However, I put a link in the other comment to studies that give you fixings and strength in Y tong aerated concrete.

Hello Daniel, thanks for the info. Like you say, there are special fixings for AAC. Below you can find some interesting SMART products: www.smart-anchors.com/general-fixings-en www.smart-anchors.com/frame-fixings-en They are mainly alternatives from the products in your list.

Thank you very much. I am curious about the metal one you hammer in SMMUP the metal universal plug and its expansion in two directions. I have never encounted this before.
