Hi, thanks for watching my video. Yes, Sonoff RF bridge works with 433 MHz remote that WITHOUT rolling code. Yes, it can use to replace RF transmitter ad send signal to gate, provided it is 433 MHz and without rolling code. For other 315Mhz (and without rolling code), you can consider broadlink RM4.

Thanks for watching my video. To my knowledge, the devices for control communicate with automate (i.e., RF bridge) selling in the market required WIFI. The reason is obvious, smartphone is not able to communicate directly using RF signal.

Hi Dr. Yap. I was thinking of buying the RF Bridge to so that i can use my Google home to open my Autogate. I got a question, does the bridge need to be close to the Autogate in order the work? Do you roughly what is the range? My gate box controller is about 21 over feet from the from window. Just worried that it will not work. Thanks

Thanks for watching my video. Under perfect condition, Sonoff RF bridge signal may reach 80 meter. For my (previous) home, it work fine from my living room to auto gate which is about 26 feet away.

Hi, thank for watching my video. Honestly i do not have experience on the devices you mentioned. In general, when pairing of SONOFF 433 RF bridge is failed i can think of (1) Frequency of the device is not 433Mhz (2) It is 433 MHhz but with rolling code.

Based on my understanding (I may be wrong although), IOT devices for RF are not able to work with rolling code. The rolling code is some kind of security and required higher level of instruments beyond IOT devices.

I tried to link a 433mHz remote with the RF bridge. The bridge recognises the Remote and the buttons appear on the eWelink app. But when I use the app and press the buttons nothing happens to the gate. The orange light blinks for a while when the button is pressed on the app. The chipset in the remote controller is SMC5328S-3. I understand the bridge will only work with remotes that have PT2260, PT2262, PT2264 and EV1527 chipsets. I have ordered a Sonoff remote with EV1527 chipset. Hope to program that remote with the current remote and then link it to the RF bridge. Do you think the bridge will work with the app after this?

@@pavanmec No it never worked. Flashed the RF bridge with the Tasmota firmware. Didn’t work also. Gave up on the RF bridge.

@@davaraj is it because SMC5326S-3 generates rolling code ? instead of fixed code? is there a way to confirm the remote uses rolling code?

@@pavanmec almost all the remotes are of the SMC5328S type. The Sonoff bridge does not work with these remotes. I bought a remote with the EV1527 chipset which is supposed to work with the RF bridge. The bridge recognises this remote. Unfortunately you can’t programme the remote to work with the RF receiver in the autogate.. The only solution is to get a RF receiver that uses one of the fixed code remotes. I couldn’t find any in the online stores.

Hi, in my opinion, your auto gate maybe 315MHZ (or even 330 MHZ or other uncommon frequency), Or 433MHZ with Rolling code. For those cases, sonoff RF bridge 433 MHZ cannot be used. For 315MHZ, you may try to look at other RF bridge such as Broadlink RM4 PRO. For 330 MHZ, no idea any RF bridge supported. In the case with rolling code then there is no way RF bridge can learn the signal.

That’s how i do before drive out from my home such as voice commands to open autogate, close it after drive out, and open it when I am 50 meter away before reach home. The method I show in this video can work in 3G/4G network meaning you can control from anywhere of the world as long as there is internet. I do that all the times when I was in office to open autogate let the lazada delivery drop the items in a box (but of course better with camera kzbin.info/www/bejne/enXcpJ-Mmbl6nK8). Yes, if rolling code involve, then I think most general/common RF bridge won’t work. You may have to modify circuit on the board and/or autogate switch on the wall.

@@faisachmad1426 Hi, if you use eWelink App (not the API), then you can see the logs. In the eWelink App, select the device, then select the 3 dots on the right top corner, a menu will pop up, from the menu select “logs”. In the logs you can see usage of the devices.

Thanks for watching my video. Generally I think there are two setup mode of sonoff device, one is direct connect to your WIFI router, and the another one is use the device as Access Point (AP). I haven’t experience the problem you face. Suggest reset the device and router, press the reset button of sonoff device for some seconds (refer to user manual of sonoff), then it should go back to the first setup method.
