Parvati Sharma, that button is very useful. No need to remove the smart key out of pocket. Just press the request button on door and it will sense if key is within 1mtr and unlocks the door.

lol. That is correct, you dont need to open the casing, I guess he was just showing how to open it. I opened my car (2019 Hyundai Creta) with my manual key and the alarm went off..loud like crazy. I didnt even think of putting the key against the black push button on door, but did press start button with key and Voila! car started , alarm stopped. Disregarded the low battery key warning since the car is less than 3 months old and i didnt think the battery would go so quickly..hmmm

thanks a ton sir. i have top model ecosport with smart key. For many months i was clueless about its functionality. now i understood from your video only. and understood the smart key feature is double more secure than an ordinary key system. in smart key system if someone wants to steal a car just copying physical key will not work, only he will be able to enter the car but cant start it. but in case of physical key system just making a duplicate copy of the keybhe can open the door start the engine and run away. So smart key is very much secure.
