1. Small screen will make you look at the map longer, this applied to my iphone NAV when I'm in a new place with complicated roads. And remember! we dont need map on our daily driving! 2. No rearview mirror while using Apple Carplay which are 2 main points here: Rear view mirror OR Apple Car Play.

I love these . The navigation when needed is the only thing you will have on the display when driving. When dimmed or resized the display does not distract from being a mirror. It's similar effect to a HUD heads up display and you can easily focus on what's important. For me the most important features are the DVR Dash cam and the navigation. The navigation should work without being connected to a phone which is why I'm watching reviews. I really wish they still made the 700.

We have a Ford transit that we converted into a camper van. The rear view mirror is useless because we have curtains in the rear windows, as a result, I think this would be a really good replacement for it, specially since we plan on heading to Central and South America and we did not want to purchase a flashy tablet to have sitting in our dashboard an potentially get our van broken into. Thanks for such a detailed review, I'll be purchasing it soon.

But after looking at this video, I want the features of this smart mirror as well. If it's anything like the 2022 nav system I used, you should be able to tap that camera icon in the top-left and it splits the screen between carplay nav on the right.

@@bensenzo I think a piece of aluminum bent at 90 degrees attached to the "mirror" and dashboard with double sided tape should do the job. If you want something more elegant you can design and 3D print a bracket for it.

What a terrible product. Your mirror isn't something you should be watching and look at all the time. You glance at them before backing up, switching lanes, and every so often while traveling on a highway. This thing is going to cause accidents left and right.

Everyone has it’s own opinion, I respect that. With the dimmest setting you could see the behind you and keep in mind if you have the other two side mirrors that all you need. There are vans out there without back glass so no need for the rear view mirror. That means they will cause an accident? Rear view mirror is not something you can’t drive without, but again it could have good applications.

Hey, i just ordered a pretty similar Mirror from Ebay here in Germany (Mirror looks exactly the same, but different packaging). With this model i was able to achieve Split-View with Carplay! You have to click a button on the screen where the pairing-steps are showed, named "Half Screen mode" (showed at 5:10) *before!* you pair your iphone the first time. If you already have your iphone paired, you need to do a factory-reset to the mirror. i hope this helps anyone.

I have this exact mirror & it wont allow my music to play through the car but my car & mirror picks up the bluetooth from my phone. It plays music through the dashcam & it wants me to use a wire to put in my cig lighter & use Fm & it sounds horrible. I just need it to let my play music through the car only via bluetooth.
