I‘m sure this strategy is profitable, but the implications just don’t make sense to me. The idea that markets are entirely manipulated and only look to grab retail liquidity sounds somewhat conspiratorial to me. I’m sure these concepts apply to microfloat, sub 1$ shitcaps, but the entire market? I don’t buy it. I also never see any sources cited in these videos. Would love some opinions on this.

I work at an actual quant market making firm and the premise of this video is BS (as are most technical analysis youtube videos) Generally speaking I wouldn't trust any video that: A. Anthropomorphizes prices movements like saying "price _wants_ to do this" or "price will most likely return..." Why does price do this? What is the thesis? What is your theoretical value? Saying "price wants..." is sort of a tell that the author doesn't actually know how or why it is moving that way, it just abstracts it away behind some hand wavy wording. B. Doesn't back up their strategy with a mathematically proven formula/model. I want to see literal proof for all inputs, not just a finite set of scenarios. You either prove its true for all inputs, of disprove it with a counter example. There is no such thing as proof by example. C. Doesn't backtest their strategy D. Attempts to sell some other product in the middle of the video E. Claims to do anything "like a bank or hedge fund" when they have no experience at either. In fact, instututions literally try their hardest to enter the market with as little extra price movement as possible. Hedge funds will send their orders out to execution services to ease in their large orders across multiple smaller orders to not disrupt their entry price. If you are a hedge fund and dump several million dollars into a single trade, you're probably not going to get a lot of your shares filled at the price you want. Also consider this - why is this guy selling alpha if trading is a zero sum game in the short term?

If you're dialed in with what the month is doing, I believe you could. If you don't have your finger on the pulse of the monthly profile or the overall trend you're expecting, it can just scream right through and take your face off without any problems at all, in the second most likely condition for ignoring your stop loss in my expereince. You have to understand that this is handshaking with the market maker methodology of looking for levels to work, and you're missing the part where they get short orders down the pipe. The idea presented here for compensating for that lack of information is waiting for the reversal, as confirmation that the orders are there and they are shorts. If you can't collect that information; smashing day to day highs in one weekly profile is actually more often one of the most bullish things you can see as a generic condition. Without knowing that the market makers have a motivation and a need to use a level; you can't see that it's critical for a reversal to serve monthly or quarterly activities, and you have to stand back and wait for the chart to develop in my humble opinion.

Nah this whole video is sketch, whats with all the unnecessary music, chops, edits, jokes its just littered with too much editing which is a shame because you have good editing skills you just abuse them and take away from the narrative.
