It’s a litter higher but matches the pedometer++ app pretty well.

apple watch is still a joke for sleep or recovery its crazy the third party apps are better for ytears now then tjhe standard apple software apps

Usually apples goal are to make their option good enough for the basics and let third parties fill in for the rest. It’s one of the reason why Apple is king because they leave room for others who they can build out their own business and think outside the box making stuff that even a company as large as Apple may not have thought about.

If Apple made a ring they would have very short battery life and brag about "up to 12 full hours of tracking" :P Come on Apple. If a ring can pull 7-10 days (Ringconn 2.0 states) then they should be able to push 3 days in regular usage

There will always be a battle between usability and battery. The watch is a powerful device with an amazing screen. The ring does a lot less which is why it can have longer battery life.

@@TheAppleBias you are cutting them too much slack. There are many watches out there that can push 30 days with smart features. May not be one-to-one with an Apple Watch, but they are surely able to compete on features. Apple was doing amazing with their macbook battery life when Windows laptops were advertising 4-5 hours. They can certainly push the envelop but aren't in this area for some reason.

@CliffR yeah nothing is like the Apple Watch. The ultra can push 3-5 days depending on settings. I personally think 1-2 days is perfect.

It doesn’t match up perfectly with the Apple Watch but it’s usually right there with the pedometer++ app that I use and trust. So I’d say it’s pretty accurate.

Honestly, I don't understand why people need to know their sleeping cycles...dude just go to bed and sleep well..We have so many stresses in the world, why did you take on even more stress by learning about sleeping cycles?. We can't make calls with Ring or receive important notifications on our wrists only.. In my opinion, it doesn't replace the smart watch because it doesn't give a notification when your heart rate increases, and we need a phone to use a ring.

With me I change my diet pretty significantly and I didn't realize how much certain food actually changes my sleep. So now that I keep it with a competition with myself on doing small things throughout the day to improve my sleep it's made me more cognitive and more aware. Improving my sleep overall. But I'm looking to go from a bracelet to a ring 😊 I use Garmin so I don't really need an activity tracker.

Are you not concerned about your health data? RingConn is Chinese, I would be comfortable about it. That is why don’t ever leave the apple eco system. I agree, I would love to see an Apple ring, too!

I’m not concerned. With the iPhone you can choose what access you want to give the apps you use. Now it’s getting all my health data. But not sure what that’d be useful for.
