Smart Smoke Alarm for Tuya

On the X-Sense website, I don't see any wired (vs battery) smoke or CO2 detectors. Hope they add them soon. Aesthetically, these are very nice.

I am not sure they have wired sensors. They have sensors that are not wifi, but can still talk to each other and echo alarms across the room.

Very good review. Could I do automation like when I turn off a smart switch then the fire alarm mutes? What is the difference between open mute and OFF?. In my situation should I automate the smart switch to open mute the fire alarm or OFF?

Yes, you could create a simple automation. Mute on means that mute is turned on, and Mute off that it will sound the alarm.

Seriously! Why every smoke detector test show that it only works when the device is nearly put into the fire? I understand that you cannot just catch your house on fire to demonstrate it but if you check your (and all others) test, the device started to alarm after a significant time. If you put it over your 3D printer, until the smoke reaches the device, and it starts alarming it is still too late to interrupt. Yes, it might can save life, no doubt on that. But not enough to prevent the bigger fire as it will already too big to stop when it starts alarming... Is there a more sensitive device on the market which is sufficient to alarm in time and use for example a fire-extinguisher to prevent bigger fire? Or is there an alternative mechanism - like optical recognition, or something - which is more useful?

Yes, you just don't get notification on your phone.
