smart toaster AQARA lies

aqara released a video: • Never Be Late Again! I... saying the toaster can be controlled by a smart plug... I told them they are talking Bull, so they referred me to an article which is also complete nonsense: buildyoursmart...
So I made a video to prove they are wrong.

If you put bread in your toaster the night before I don’t think the bread is very taste the morning after😂 toasting does help a little bit though

Hm, are you sure about all the toasters available on the market? So it's impossible to insert bread there in advance while it's off? If it is so, yeah that's a fail, but I don't think it is an intentional lie, just some wrong perception of those who made the video.

It's just false advertisement which rubs me the wrong way: "BUY OUR SMART PLUG AND MAKE TOAST IN THE MORNING"... NOPE... it will not, not if you have a normal toaster, so you have been sold a dud. ...Sure there are toasters that might use a different system, but standard toasters all latch when there is current only.

I myself invested into AQARA proprietary ecosystem a year ago, and I have a bunch of gadgets at my home which work "somewhat"... I have a personal Gripe with Xiaomi Mi and AQARA. I hope one day they will become a good and reliable Smart-Home system, but that is not the case currently. p.s. on their Video 2 pieces of toast (toasted from both sides) fly out of a single piece toaster. Seems they didn't test what they claim first, and that is what my experience with them have been, just a bunch of unreliable, un-tested gadgets.
