@Engineering Facts I think the reason is because for smart watches they use reflectance spectroscopy as you mentioned and therefore red is more affected by motion artifacts. Since Green does not go deeper hence it is less affected by motion artifacts. But in the position where smart watches are worn, both colours reflect.
