I would like to add a reference section for distracted driving warnings to my community’s young adults. This is an excellent introductory film. Thank you! Shreveport Louisiana USA

I got my license 20 years ago, yet I find Rick's youtube videos and the course to be very helpful in maintaining my skills, attention and prevention of accidents. Drivers who use defensive driving rules don't get into accidents - those who think they are very experienced and remember everything at all times do. Very grateful to Rick for the channel that makes me a better driver every day and keeps me comfortable on the road .

16:08 “turn on you lane assist” I found lane assist to actually be more distracting in England. The lanes are so narrow on B roads that it was constantly bugging you to move over into the gutter. 😀. Other than tan that, in North America lane assist has saved my bacon many a time.

That's a great comment. I wouldn't think of trying lane assist on a narrow road. Good to hear it's not very helpful. But it works on the bigger roads. Thanks for the information. All the best, Cheers Rick

New NYC driving instructor and educator. I agree 100% with SIRI! It is a technology that really does not work well. It is almost totally useless for me. It is Apples worst feature by far to date. I’m sure others will agree

Hello Rick , I have 2 questions. Question #1: When Turning, Specifically on stand still turns. Do I press the gas before turning the steering wheel?? Or do I turn the steering before pressing the gas?? Or do I just turn the steering wheel and the gas simultaneously?? Question #2: I know I always need to check my rear view mirror & side mirror & blind spots before changing lanes and turning. But is there times where I only need to Check JUST my side mirror and blind spot?? Like if I’m pulling into a left turn only lane at an intersection for example?? Do all turns necessarily need rearview check ?? to where some just need checking side mirror then the blind spot and Turing.

N drivers in the GLP in british columbia are not allowed to use personal devices unless they are wired into the vehicle ... so that means phone holders are not allowed ... i circumvented this by replacing the old stereo with a touchscreen receiver compatible with android and apple car play ... i am allowed to plug my phone into the new telematic to use GPS and stereo functions. the GLP was introduced here before the ubiquity of smart phones and the government is notorious for not keeping up with technological advances ... still seems like a cash grab to me, but a $125 stereo system and a couple hours of my time replacing the old one with youtube videos is well worth not getting a $475 distracted driving ticket and points for "using my phone"
