Ulanzi definitely better than Apexel In terms of image quality but have soft edge distortion while apexel doesn't have any edge distortion but makes the whole image blurred (soft).

Blurred Apexel images? I shot portraits with it on my OnePlus Nord 2 in Pro mode that zoomed in even the independent eyebrows were sharp. 😅

Its not "the edges are soft with Ulanzi", its one right side edge is soft, perhaps its a bad lens because if lens were soft then both sides would be soft...

I have both and mi Ulanzu lens has also ONLY OBE SIDE SOFT OR BLURRY... It is annoying,.... Now I bought the Apexel one, and it is better, at least is looks more sharp all the way... good for videos.

Happened to me too. The Ulanzi has more distortion at the corners of the frame, and doesn't seem well optimized for bigger phone sensors on newer phones... the Apexel looks better across the whole frame, though there is still some vignetting if you've got a 1/1.3" or bigger sensor for photos (usually, they crop in for video. )

@@Thevictorgg92 this version of the lens is not compatible with the iPhone 15 as it is old, but ulanzi just released a newer tele lens, it's called the 60mm CL-006 which is compatible with the newer gen phone. Pls do check that lens out.
