A really helpful video, so thank you. Also, I completely forgot to check the manufacturer’s website, so used your link to buy one and saved much more money than I was expecting. Hopefully it turns up from the U.S., since I also checked on Amazon UK, as would import it for me, but they wanted over £90, so I thought I’d try importing it directly from Move Shoot Move.

why not just leave the eye cup on?

Because if you clamp onto the eye cup it can pull off and your phone (and the adapter) could fall on the floor and get damaged.
