VIF is not required for reflective constructs and it may go over 5 in case of reflective constructs.

Thank you for the lecture. I wonder in the reflective model, if VIF is matter. My model shows every values is okay except too high VIF values. My model is reflective model with indicators. In addition, when it comes to calculation in Smartpls, what is the difference between standard algorithm and consistent algorithm? I am not sure this is regarding to reflective and formative model.

Hi Dr. Fawad, thanks for your video, they are truly very helpful. I have a question: in this video, you are examining the reflective measurement model, right? Is it necessary to examine the VIF for the outer model? Since they are reflective constructs, which means their indicators are interchangeable, which further means it is possible for them to be highly correlated. Also, Hair (2017) only examined VIF for the outer model in the formative measurement model.
