great video!!in my thesis, I initially found a statistically significant positive effect from the IV to DV without moderator in model. However, upon adding a moderator, this relationship became non-significant, and the moderation effect itself shows a p-value greater than 0.05. Given these findings, I am unsure whether my hypothesis that there is a positive significant relationship from IV to DV still holds true.

Thanks so much for your effort. But my question is, when drawing a path diagram, is it necessary to draw a line from RA to OP? Can we just draw the moderating effect between RA to CC and OP? Does drawing a line from RA to OP affect the coefficient's calculation of the moderating effect?
@researchwithfawad2 жыл бұрын
Pleasure l. I am glad you liked it. No. In SmartPLS 4, you can have just tue impact on the relationship l. No need to draw the impact from moderator to the DV in the relationship
@mahamadoukante94632 жыл бұрын
@Research With Fawad in case of we draw them, should they be hypothesised as well in addition to the initial moderating role hypothesis. Like this: h1: RA positively affect OP h2: RA moderates the impact of CC on OP. ? Or by stating that RA is a moderator between CC and OP, we automatically imply that RA affects OP also ? Thanks
@researchwithfawad2 жыл бұрын
Yes you can hypothesize them as well. All this will depend on the conceptual scope of you study and its objectives. It this an objective of your study, if so, yes link moderator with the DV of moderating relationship.

Great sir, behind the insignificant moderating effect, is there any reason? Can we modify or screen the data to get significant results?
@researchwithfawad11 ай бұрын
You can screen the data and see if there is any data causing insignificant results. You may do groupwise analysis and see if the results are insignificant in some groups while significant in others.

from what i understand Hair et al (2022) states to input the moderators after analysing the structural model seeing as having them in the model can affect the other relationships. two questions: should the analysis of the structural model - aka VIF r2, f2, and q2 be done without the moderators present and then do a moderating analysis after the fact? also should direct relationships, mediation analysis and moderation analysis be done all together at the same time or remove moderator?
@researchwithfawad Жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching. The structural relationships shall be reported with the moderating effect in the model. The only reason to run the model without the moderator and moderating effect is to assess the contribution of the moderator/moderating effect in the relationship.
@farahmerican Жыл бұрын
Dr, when you run PLS Algoritm to generate R2, and F2, did you create the moderation effect? (or did you just connect the direct relationship relationship between RA and OP?). In other word do we need to create the moderation effect of RA on CC and OP when running the PLS ALGORITM as well?

Assalaamu 'Alaykum Doctor, I've noticed that having several moderators negatively effects the p values of all the moderators on the different variables. I have 5 moderators currently. What do I do in this situation? Should I run them one at a time and report them as such or do I report the results of when they are all actively moderating?
@researchwithfawad8 ай бұрын
WAS. Yes this may happen. You may run stepwise and see which moderator is causing the issue. See how was the data on that moderator and then you can run two models one with and one without that moderator and discuss the findings.

Salam my dear, great effort from your side to illustrate these concepts ;) I have a concern that I hope you can elucidate. Let's assume I have a moderating construct C that moderates the relation between an IV A and a DV B where the path is a negative relationship. If C negatively moderates path A-B, does that mean it increases the significance of A on B as their path is negative, or is it the contrary i.e when C negatively moderates the negative path A to B, it means that it weakens the relationship?
@researchwithfawad2 жыл бұрын
Thanks. I am glad you liked it. Negatively moderates the relationship means that it weakens the negative relationship between A and B.
@mahamadoukante94632 жыл бұрын
@@researchwithfawad okay. Then if C weaknesses the negative path A:B so in other term C makes the path more negative hence making it more significant negatively ? (That's where I am confused) Thanks
