I think it is important to note that smartsheet has unlimited collaborators, meaning those people within your organization who does not need to set automations or create dashboards but more on updating only the details of the sheets or reports of the projects and be consumers of the information are free.. in my organization, we only have three licenses paid but dozens and dozens of collaborators which are free paying less than 1500USD a year.

I have been spending an inordinate amount of time learning Smartsheet. As a convert from Teamwork and Excel, I use Basecamp and Smartsheet, respectively, for two different purposes. Sorry but Smartsheet had turned into a nightmare to comprehend after many months. Lately, I am finally realizing how much of a jump Smartsheet is compared to Excel, Monday, and Asana which have limitations for growth. The production of KZbin videos by you and others have been instrumental in clearly explaining and replacing Smartsheet's cloudy and extremely confusing help and customer service. If possible, please present a video about how users can use Smartsheet without a license for unlimited collaboration. This is an excellent comment by Rennel! 😊

When it comes to pricing it’s important, especially for solo entrepreneurs, to notice that the business plan for Smartsheet demands a minimum of three licenses. My impression after some fiddling with both software’s is that Smartsheet is better suited for project management, lesser so for more simple task/todo lists, while Asana is a more all round tool with a wider range of use cases.

Howdy! Please read my reply to Rennel's comment. Thanks. Smartsheet is spectacular when it comes to the customization of work flow management and advanced configuring of a variety of alerts and notifications. However, there is a sizable learning curve based on your particular requirements when putting everything together. In my amateur opinion, if you can invest the time and "get over the hump," Smartsheet will lower the costs of input and output time and resources through its workflow, automation, and control processes as you grow.
