Much needed review. The Performance test helped me a lot. I have ordered MI MAX 2 as COD on the first day of sale; definitely going to cancel my order. I mean look how jittery the 3D video looks. I do not follow the ratings to be a clear metric of phones performance but, when there is such a disparity in numbers, you can't really ignore it. Thanks for this SmartZero 👍 👍 👍 👍 👍

mi max is only better in gaming but if u see other site like camera, battery, look and build quality, usb type c port, stereo speakers, contrast ratio, quick charge 3.0 overall best is mi max 2.

Generally speaking, each new OS kernel and skin requires more RAM. The Mi Max 2 SOC is good but the tests here seem lousy perhaps because it only has 2 or 3GB and maybe some other setup problem. I actually have a Mi Max 3GB and Mi Max 2 4GB and the Mi Max 2 is quite a bit faster. Mi Max comes with Android 6 and Mi Max 2 comes with Android 7.

Mi Max still running 2024 but admit the 3 successive last update killed the phone and asked to buy a new phone, not very kind from Xiaomi by the way. They slowed down the phone a lot, suppressed the camera quality, suppressed the wonderful HDR abilities, many functions in camera app. Not very kind. But such a great phone! And all system app updates are slowing down the phone. You just have to supress all updates from apps. For system itself nothing to do 😭

Mi max have better Battery, Better Display Resolution, Better speaker and Better Camera then Mi Max 1, So mi max 2 is good ... and dont go on antutu, you dont send your mobile for fight on border .. it play all heavy games and mi max 2 have a better design also ...

Display resolution and screen size is the same on Max and Max 2. Max is lighter and a bit smaller (due to Max 2 putting bigger battery) which matters on phone of this size. Battery life on Max is excellent anyways. Max is quite faster (A72 cores much faster than A53). If I had to choose I'd choose Max. Not quite the upgrade Max 2
